The Vans Rowley XL2 are one of the best models in history. literary indestructable. They are comfortable, look great, really hard wearing and the weight is perfect. They do have a soft undersole but they are still good quality.

The Vans Rowley XL2 are awesome shoes! They are very durable and look great, the only bad point is that they dont seem to make them anymore.

Really nice shoes, love of my life, I've got them for now three years and they're really used but still the best shoes ever! Got the red one and wishes I had buy three pairs.

The Vans Rowley XL2 shoes are light, as all Geoff Rowley shoes are. I would recommend his shoes to anyone and everyone. Made of excellent matrial (mostly suede) and held up nice. Look great and are not expensive. On the down side they don't come in very nice looking colors red/blue blue/white they need black and white and the gum of my shoe wore out all the way through so you could see my sock.

I love Van's I've been wearing vans only for 6 years. I think the Vans Rowley XL2 are excellent nothing really bad to say except if you stop with the bottom of your foot it will wear out in about 2-3 months.

The Vans Rowley XL2 were my second pair of Vans and I am really impressed with them. I understsand what people say about not being able to skate in them, but they are excellent for riding street and BMX in because they are very grippy on the pedals. They are also one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have had.
If you can get them chaep highly recommended.

My favourite pairs of vans row leys are the XLT`s, no doubt, at least the XLT`s has some `bulk` compared to these.
They look good if you just want to chill or hang out, but if you skate really hard, you will rip apart these shoes in no time--believe me. Most of the pairs I've seen here are suede, better get the vans bucky lasek`s instead, or the vans moola.

I've had my Vans Rowley XL2 since Christmas 2003 and there still in really good nick considering I wear them nearly every day. I have found the waffle grib isn't very good in the rain and I have the bruises to prove it.

Vans Rowley XL2 are over $70 after tax at pac-sun. Don't buy if you plan to skate in them. what's the point after that then? Very sweet looking, and grippy on the bottom. The positive points stop there. Everything else sucks and vans needs to get their act together. lace guards are one of my pet peeves. terrible if the shoe is without. their entire fall 04' collection doesn't have lace guards. The ollies construction I've noticed is shared with other shoe companies such as DVS and their shoe MILAN. falls apart. My pair are currently shoe-gooed like mad. they lost my business. Also very annoying when you have to change the laces every time one tears. they're becoming a lousy company. My next pair of shoes would be I paths.

Yes, indeed, these are very expensive shoes, here in manila they cost a lot.

Although they are very light, and has a nice board feel and slip-free grip (courtesy of the vans waffle grip) they are kind of weak. Of course, when you make a shoe light, you sacrifice it`s durability.

Buy Saviers, all you want in a skate shoe, Savier has it. Hidden lace loops, a toe cap that will last and no slip bottom, plus really comfortable.

Check out the Savier Brian Anderson 2 and the Staba.

I got the Vans Rowley XL2 like 2 weeks ago. They are just starting to rip now, but it's fine because they can be fixed and they were only 40 bucks from some online thing. I can land fake flips so easy with these shoes for some reason, I don't know why. They have great board feel and they are also so light. Put a gel sole in there and you got yourself one heck of a shoe.

The Vans Rowley XL2 is definitely a shoe worth the money if you have them in suede. The grip keeps you glued to your board and it wears down slow. There are only two problems I came across while owning the xl2's: I got a big hole in the side from heelflips (nothing a little tape can't fix) and the weird toe cap takes a little while to get used to with kick flips. Overall a great shoe for a great price from the best show company in the world

I've had my Vans Rowley XL2's about a month and the places where you ollie have worn away, the stitching and some of the shoe had worn and is coming through to a lighter blue. Thats the bad points, so here is the good - they have good grip look good and are very comfatable.

I got this for X-mas so far the've been the best skate shoes i've ever owned I've always skated vans but I skate the kind you could find in a shoe store form now on I'm going with the coreskate off the wall series, anyways now to the review
Geoff thanks for these shoes, they're EXETREMELY light (even lighter than a pair of house shoes my friend has) they're very comfortable, they grip awesome, They seem to wear down kinda fast though since their not made of really sedue and stuff

My first pair of rowleys didnt dissapoint me, except in one aspect. The ollie guard rips in about a week. Sure the laces rip but all shoe laces rip. You can buy somes new laces for cheap but all around a great shoe and defintely worth the dough.

If i were u you and I thought that since you had the first rowleys the second ones would be good. Well they aren't so i recommed not to buy them.
