If Your Looking For A Powerful And Yet Detailed So

If your looking for a powerful and yet detailed sound for under 250quid you can't do better than a Sherwood. Hands Down. I've had Yamaha's before and they're not in the same league for this price.

I Was Lucky Enough To Pick Up A Sherwood Rvd 6095

I was lucky enough to pick up a Sherwood RVD 6095 second hand for a bargain £30 (!!!) and it is fantastic! I have it hooked up to my PS3, running a mix of Kef front channels and Wharfedale rears, with a Tannoy active sub running off the pre-outs. The sound quality is brililant in Dolby Digital and even better in DTS and I will keep this for as long as possible. The only slightly irritating thing is that it seems to default to setting the volume to about half way, and this is set for each input. So if you are using it to listen to the output of your TV, then change to DVD or console the volume suddenly jumps, which can be a pain if you have a sleeping baby in the room above! However you can always switch the speaker off button before changing input, then turn the volume down before switching the speakers back on again.

The Sherwood Rvd 6095, What Can I Say, I Bought On

The Sherwood RVD 6095, what can I say, I bought one just over 18 months ago for £200, what a great buy it has turned out to be. Easily connectable, by either wires or banana plugs (try to use the latter, wires can get a little fiddly. once up and running, the sound (especially in dolby digital) is fantastic, I use mine with some Eltax mini monitors and a kenwood sub and it performs really well. Now this model is reduced in price it becomes a must have for the home cinema nut. I had thought of buying an all in one, but with a bit of research found this that has turned out to be a real gem.
