I finally was able to cancel my New Look card by a house phone, i'm so happy that i didn't have to write to them back and fourth as that sounded stupid on the back of the letter. If you want to stop your card just give them a ring, the people will ask you "Why you wish to close down your account" and just tell them why ad they will close it for you. I cute my card in two, and now will not accept any card for any company, as i have to go through a process of finding a phone that won't knock-off because the call to Ikano sure isn't cheap you need a good o'l BT landline. Thing is i don't really use New Look, plus is you buy a whole lot of items and pay later (Online) you can only pay up to 10-15 pound i think it was ten can't quite remember in one day or something, meaning if you pay too late you will end up in arrears. The card is great for lets say "RICH" people who think money is no object. If you sign up with them make sure you pay quickly or as soon as possible, don't leave it to last min or you'll end up like my sister who got £20 added on top as arrears of a pair of high-heels she brought in the store. The customer service, vary's depending on the person who is serving you, some can be really nice, the woman who i spoke with on the phone was wonderful! Although i won't be using any cards anytime soon.

Hi, I have used them in the past and their quality have been ok but recently the customer services at their oxford store has been appalling. They were rude to me and my wife, did not want to understand our problem and offered no help to rectify it.

Never had any problems since I got my card two years back - I've always been up to date with my payments apart from one occasion where I was a day or two late and incurred a £12 charge...that was my own fault and I never made that mistake again! The benefits you get from being a store card holder are quite good - e.g they send you vouchers and other things with your statements each month and sometimes they're discount ones. On paying my account off each month I have never had any issues with customer services or the payment going through, as I've always allowed 72 hours for the payment to process as they tell you on your statement and online. However, I think the phone payment process is far too long and drawn out - all the while you're paying for the call and it takes ages, and often the voice on it cuts out and you can't hear your receipt number details at the end. I think the time has come for me to cancel it now though, as it is just far too tempting to do a big spend and just shrug it off with "Ah, I can pay for it next month!" - I may as well just pay for things when I actually have the money to spend. I'll be contacting NL in writing once this months payment has cleared and cutting up card and sending it back to them :) Bye card!

I have to say I've never had a problem with them, I have set up a payment so I can pay through online banking and I know every pay day to transfer the money across. I have had a few arrears but they were my own fault because I didn't pay on time so I can hardly blame them for that. Overall it's pretty good because I can buy what I want. Just make sure you pay more than the minimum every month but this is true of any credit card or store card.

I took a new look card and when I had my statement through my boyfriend moved it whilst tidying up I forgot about it, when I found it, it was past the due date by 2 days but because I paid the full amount I haven ' t been charged for a late payment. I found this very good of them.

The best way to avoid problems with the new look card and also any store card is to set it up to pay the full balance each month. All store cards are like credit cards, the New Look card is easy to set up on direct debit and then you don't have to worry about it!

Up to now I have been quite happy with my card, and the service I've received. You also get quite a lot of discount promotions if you use your card. I'm happy with my New Look store card.

Nope i had payed everything off in advance right after i signed up with the card as i know what happens when you don't pay off on time it becomes arrears, the only trouble was closing down my account which was easy as ever... i never knew how easy it was... when using a home BT landline, tried with my mobile but it took all my money.

when do this card come because i signed up to it as i thought it was a points cards cause the women said it was i have got to wait for the card to come to then pay what i have to to then cancel it as i dont need it also od you have to pay to cancel??
