Its handy to have, but the interest rate is bit steep. Probably worth using BNPL scheme rather than using this.

The argos card is good if you keep on top of your payment due dates. Anyone who falls foul of this really have themselves to blame. I have never paid intrest to argos. think about it, only use it if you think you can handle the payment when it comes round.
This said i think Argos are ruining the card service. When i first joined (around 8 years) i could put items on the card for over £295.00 and get 12 months intrest free. A few years back this was reduced to 9 months intrest free, with 12 only on funiture, now i beleive 6 months is available only now. and 12 on furniture. And because of 6 months being the maximum. i have drastically reduced what i purchase from argos using my card. I rarely pay cash for items at argos so they have lost my purchases and god knows how many peoples.

The Argos store card is a good option if you can control your finances and are disciplined enough to ensure you pay the full balance before the end of the interest free periods. I have purchased a bed, sofa & laptop and always paid the balance before the interest is applied - would not recommend for people have are not on top of their finances as the interest that can be applied is astronomical.

I used this card to pay for my baby's things and then purchased some birthday presents but when I try and pay the interest each month is half the minimum payment!

The Argos card allows you an interest free period if you spend over a certain amount in one go, I think it's 3 months free interest when you spend £95, 6 months when you spend £195, spend £295 and you get 9 months. This is in my opinion the best high street store card if you use it to your advantage. I would advise using any card that you should always pay as much off as you can and just paying the interest and or the minimum payment each month as this will only lead to problems in the long run.

They need your bank details to be able to perform the credit check... The details are kept on data base for a short time because it is an application for credit so it has to be kept for a certain period of time (a couple of months I think) although the banks details are not kept...then it is removed..hope this helps
