Bought my A4 1.8T Quattro Sport 5 yrs ago with 42k on the clock. Its now done 62k. This car is very reliable,fast [184bhp and top speed of 144mph]and sticks to the road like glue. Its very understated and doesnt stand out in the crowd.
Only problems ive had are the 1-wiper mechanism jamming 2- the central locking pump breaking 3 rear spring breaking 4 abs unit breaking and this was replaced 2nd hand by one from a skoda rs.
Its fairly heavy on petrol, i average about 27mpg if taking it easy but have got down to mid teens on a particularly spirited drive.
To sum up id say its a fast car for a family man.
