“I had my Motorola C350 mobile phone for a year, and I...”

★★★★★

written by keithlaverty on 05/03/2006

I had my Motorola C350 mobile phone for a year, and I am very happy (apart from the games). I was 10 then, and I gave it to my mum for a new Motorola V220, which died yesterday (RIP v220 2004-2006), but for some reason the texts are slow to come to your in-box. I phoned my mate when I sent him a text asking if he had sent one back, he said he did about 3 hours ago, then about 5 minutes later I got it, and all it said was "yea ill come". Also, about 3 weeks ago, the speaker broke, so now I can't even hear the person calling, so they have to send a 3 hour text (sometimes) to talk with me.

All in all, it was a brilliant phone, but gave up in its old age (considering it is about 4 or 5 years old now, I can forgive and recycle it, or maybe I'll hold on to it as a sign of my first real review).

★★★☆☆

written by sumo guy on 29/10/2004

I've had my Motorola C350 for getting on two years now. When I first got it I thought it was great, but after about six months I began to think otherwise. The case fills up with dust easily and the screen is near on impossible to see without the backlight on. One problem I have only noticed within the last couple of months is that it has a knack of turning itself off for no apparent reason, but thats' probably just a one-off thing. It has been generally quite reliable otherwise, and the battery life is excellent. I would strongly recommend buying one now they've gone down in price, as on the whole they're a good phone for £50.

“When I first had my C350 I thought it was great. But...”

★★★☆☆

written by aom218 on 24/07/2004

When I first had my C350 I thought it was great. But after about a few weeks I began to realise that it wasn't that good a phone. It began to run so slow. When you receive a new message it takes you about 10 seconds to open while the phone decides whether or not it wants you to read it. Sometimes it will just crash when you are in the car and sending a message. This brings me on to another really annoying fact. The font used for the message is terrible. The 'I's and the '1's and the 'L's all look very similar unless you write the whole message in upper case font.
When you have the phone with you in a quiet place you can hear all the tones really well. But as soon as you go out somewhere with your friends you can't hear them. Also to add to this the vibrate function is useless. When the phone is set onto Vibrate and ring it will vibrate for a bit then play the tune with bursts of vibration and because you cant select how long you want the phone to ring out for before cutting off to send to your voicemail, by the time you do feel it vibrate it is far too late.
Whilst you're in a call the good thing is that you can set up a call beep to tell you how long you've been on the call. I.e. it can be set to beep every 60 seconds so that you know how long you have been on that call.
The menu on this phone is very easy to navigate. I had never had a Motorola before and I got the hang of using it in almost no time at all. I think it is possible one of the most easy phones I have ever had to use.
The phone is packed full of many useful features like the calendar and currency converter and call related features.
I got this phone because I thought that it looked stylish and had quite a lot of good features for the money. The case is very easily scratched. In the first few weeks I had scratches on the screen and now it looks like I have had it for about 5 years. My friend also has the phone and his is in a similar state. I would advise anybody who is buying a phone to go and have a look at it in real life or have a go on your friend's phone because that way you can check for things like ring tone volume and the general operating speed of the unit. I'm getting fed up of this phone and I have just ordered a brand new Motorola V500 on Orange. Reading reviews on this site I have decided that this is the perfect phone for me.

written by LloydRules on 23/07/2004

I bought the Motorola C350 about a year ago and it has been ok. I'm not the sort of person who needs every new phone because it's got video and all that but I feel kinda let down because I paid £70 for it and nowadays you can get camera phones for about £75. The screen is good but the pictures you can buy on the internet are fuzzy and you cannot see them. The motomixer is pointless because you can only have 2 different sets of instruments but the other ringtones are good quality. This is a good phone for the one who does not like all the new accesories like video, cammera etc.

written by Blablius on 27/06/2004

I cant say how dissapointed I am with this Motorola C350 mobile phone.
I brought it , because it was a very cheap phone with a colour screen and polyphonic ringtones.
But after a 2 months or so , the phone was all scratched and it looked like it was bought 10 years ago!!! You might think that i use the phone very much , take it every where , but no!My friend has the same mobile and hes got the same problem.
The baterry life is so bad that it lasts only about a day or two, so this phone is not any use if you are traveling or something like that (and believe me , i travel a lot).No good features , even no j2me!!! And there is no user friendliness in this phone either.
Im glad i replaced this phone with Nokia 6100.

I've been using my c350 for a couple of weeks, but now cant'use it, as I can't make or receive calls and can't send sms. My daughter was playing games on it and I wonder if she played with the settings and since then I've been having this problem. Probably she deleted the service centre number. The sim card is not blocked as I had it checked. Can someone please give me the service centre number and how to save it on my mob. Thank you.

The Motorola C350 mobile phone is an absolute bargain at the price i paid - it's rivals at that price were the Siemens A55 and the Nokia 3310. No contest!

“The Motorola C350 mobile phone has most things you're...”

★★☆☆☆

written by ctraceyuk on 05/01/2004

The Motorola C350 mobile phone has most things you're after - small, attractive, cheap, and a colour screen. The interface is ok to use and generally gives good first impressions.

However, the screen is very small so it might as well be black and white. Also, the keypad is fiddly to use and you can't always tell if a key has actually been pressed. Sometimes when a key is pressed the phone beeps as if a key has been pressed but the key press is not registered by the phone. Alternatively, the key press gets registered but there's no beep. Most annoying in both cases!

The biggest problem with the phone is that's it's VERY, VERY SLOW to use. Initially you put up with it but after a while it gets very tedious. For starters, when turning the phone one, many functions cannot be selected for over a minute. Then when it's finally ready to go, it is not uncommon for operations such as opening the message inbox or opening a message to take 10+ seconds. Navigating the phone book is also slow and generally the phone is slow to use, always playing catch up with you. In fact, I've had enough of it so mine's now up for sale.

written by richymoo on 21/11/2003

The Motorola C350 is a waste of money! Don't buy it, the screen is so small you cant even tell what background you have!! The ringtones dont even sound polyphonic, the moto mixer only has 3 different tunes, what is the point? The menu is so hard to get round even to do the easiest thing, the colour screen has such a bad resolution it looks like it only has 10 differnt colours, all the decent polyphonics on the internet are not usable with this phone either, the only person i would recommend it to is a psyco with a sledge hammer, dont buy it.

Buttonz1000's Response to richymoo's Review

Written on: 27/11/2003

Sorry to say but you are completely wrong, the only polyphonic file formats in the world are midi and smaf (mmf). The C350 supports midi, and nearly all of the ringtones on the net are in midi format, you obviously arent caring all that much about new ringtones if you had that problem.

Also mabye if you actually took the front cover off and cleaned the screen it would look clearer, mind you, having the cover on does decrease the colour quality, clean it once in a while!

The ringtones can support up to 16 chords which is the same as the GX10(1, 10i and 20), GD87, T300, T100, T310, and T610.

Its pesimists like you that give motorola a bad name!

do you honestly think the colour screen is going to look any better if you clean under the cover! how is dirt even meant to build up under a plastic cover?!! try monster moib for c350 polyphonic ringtones, they are nowhere near as good a nokias, they obviously arnt 16chord. you cant even get colour backgrounds off the net either, take it, the phones rubbish

I Purchased the motorola C350 2 days ago, but it's backdoor doesn't get properly locked and irritates me every time i push the button the back casing also get pressed each time.

But retailers told most of the set has these problems and asked to change casing.

It also has the following problems
1, We can't see the screen even without backlight
even in the day time
2, The sound is very very low and only you got alerted only if the cell is in your pocket
3, The Keypress is very hard
4, OS latency i.e in some pass through in the menu the cell is failed to response your keypress
5, We can't compose the ringtones easily as it of nokia

Good point's but degraded due to bad things
1, Colour display,GPRS,Infrared,WAP,MMS recieving,Polyphonic tones in less cost around 125 dolars or 6000 INR
