“Not bad but watch the after sales service”

★★★☆☆

written by JM68 on 07/01/2014

I switched from British Gas and found the processs smooth and quick. However, setting up the HomeComfort boiler service contract was not easy. they wrote me a letter telling me to arrange an inspection of my boiler as a new customer but every time I called they had no account set up and asked me to call back. Thier back office admin systems appear to be lacking and don't fill me with confidence for the future. They took two DD's before they finally acknowledged that i exist but still can't arrange the inspection they wnat to do!

Have had good service from Scottish Power through Sainsbury's energy. Capped deal was great - expensive now it has ended. Staff helpful and friendly.

Scottish gas fitted a new meter to my mother-in-laws renovated council house. She does not have a gas supply to the property and Scottish power her electricity supplier have now started to bill her 26.09 pence plus vat per day. Scottish Power say this is for hire of the meter, whether or not she uses gas.Can this possibly be correct?.

Electricity people responded and low and behold, they Do charge for the unused meter and non-existent supply. So there you have it,someone can come along and install a meter on your rented property. You have no say in the matter if the landlord has said they can do so for future tenants use. After a long conversation with the electricity company, they have agreed to remove the meter as long as the ninety two year old lady, pays the outstanding charge of £10.41.You could not make it up,it verges on BLACKMAIL!.WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?.
