great all rounder. paid £600 for a 98 plate with new mot, full service and 6 months tax 4 years ago. had 48k on clock. done 90 now and just starting to have issues, injector warning light stays on when its cold and most of the stupid rubber on handles gone, but just had another mot, most spent as it cost £280. still, cant get a great looking car for that. fuel not too bad as it dose 200 mile round trips to london (about 30 in london traffic) for £35. 1 regret is no split rear seat so have to drop hole back if carry anything big. will carry 5 interior doors with hatch shut or a 3mtr worktop hanging out just 10 inches.

The Fiat Brava 1.4SX looks and feels Italian. I'm doing about 1000 miles per week with total reliability. I'm getting 57mpg from the 1.9 diesel and I love it to bits!

Well, I've had my Fiat Brava 1.4SX for 2 years. It had 92,000 on the clock, now has 144. I've done over 50,000 miles and all that's been needed is brake pads, services, and last night my clutch went. Not bad at all, always gets me where I need to go without problem.

I bought my Fiat Brava 1.4SX off eBay for 700GBP. It has all round electrics, metalic paint and is the 1.8 ELX model so comes with a number of whistles and bells. When I bought the car it had a towbar fitted so I guess my car had never been raced! Whoever came up with the idea of putting the rubber coating on the door handles needs shooting but they are replaceable for a fee. Plenty of room for 4 or 5 people with luggage. Bought it as a second car and tend to use it more for weekend driving as our other car has a smaller engine and better fuel economy. I would happily buy another Brava but would plump for the 1.4 for everyday driving.

This Fiat Brava 1.4SX family car has been a great investment. It does everything I need in a daily drive and more.
The 1.4 engine is based on the old Aurelio Lampredi single cam motor. He was Ferrari's chief engine designer and it shows.
Like all modern engines it needs to be run on good quality oil and you can't afford to skip the oil changes but the engine has been bulletproof.
It's needed wear and tear items like any other car, exhaust, brake pads, tyres. All reasonably priced.
It survived an attack by some prat in a Vecra pretty well, with panel damage to the side but no structural damage. Tough car.
Superior in every way to any of the cars in the same class that I have driven and maintained.

The Fiat Brava 1.4SX is a wonderful little car - would recommend it to anybody.
Good on Petrol, good to steer, all round good to drive.

WE LOOKED AT THE 1.4, BUT WENT FOR THE 1.6 IN THE END, IT'S MORE FLEXIBLE AROUND TOWN AND ON THE MOTORWAY, FIATS ARE FIATS, THEY TEND TO BE TECHNOLOGICALLY AND ERGOMICALLY WAY AHEAD OF THEIR COMPETITORS TOO SOON. THEY NEVER FULLY TRIAL ALL THE GOODYS ON BOARD AND SO SOMETIMES THINGS JUST DONT APPEAR TO WORK RIGHT (ANYONE WHOSE READ THEIR MANUAL FRONT-BACK WILL KNOW). AESTHETICALLY, YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM, NOT JUST BRAVAS BUT THE WHOLE RANGE, WELL ALMOST. (MAREA?) ABOVE ALL THEY'RE JUST GOOD FUN.

This Fiat Brava 1.4 SX car has been the best thing ever to happen to me as a new driver. It is totally reliable and perfect for new drivers. It has looks to die for and more importantly is better than all my friends cars. The fact that it is quite nippy also adds to the attraction to this amazing car.

I love my Fiat Brava. I have just changed from a Nissan Micra because it was too small. I used to work in the hire car industry and Brava's were very popular, so it was my 1st choice when upgrading. The Fiat Brava is pretty cheap to run, tax and insure, and doesn't look like all those other "boring boxy looking cars"!

I have just experienced the first 2 weeks driving my new Fiat Brava. I find the drive to be exciting, the engine is very responsive in the right gear, the steering is light but accurate and the variable drivers seat makes it very comfortable on long journeys. This with the smooth Italian looks makes for excellent value for money. Avoid the chunky boxy look - buy it while you can.

We are very happy with our Fiat Brava. Peter Smith of Smith Knight Fay, Denton (where we bought the car) has given us outstanding after sales service too !
