this dryer has had capacitor, door hinges, front bearings, two sets of rear bearings, fan assembly, two belts and now the spider assembly which is riveted to the rear of drum is falling off and you cannot buy just the spider assembly you have to purchase a whole drum so it is now scrap and any saving you think you are going to make in fuel costs with this dryer is swallowed by the unreliability and cost of repairs if anyone is thinking of buying one of these dryers my best advice is GET EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH A REPUTABLE COMPANY you will need it.WHY DO THEY NOT JUST PUT A LITTLE MORE THOUGHT INTO THE CONSTRUCTION AND AT LEAST FIT A BALL BEARING IN THE REAR OF DRUM WITH A SPIDER THAT IS BOLTED IN PLACE WITH RELACEMENTS AVAILABLE.

We have had this dryer for 8 years. It has never been a great performer. It has needed 2 new capacitors, a new door catch and despite repeated attention has a mind of its own as to whether it will dry or not. The savings with gas seem theoretical as it spends hours tumbling wet clothes without igniting and providing heat to dry clothes.

Had a White Knight Tumble Dryer previous to this White Knight BG437 for 15 years with very little problems. Just the occasional cleaning of ducts and burner area. Had the solinoid inlet valve changed. Outstanding machine for my family growing up. This new model has lasted 2 years and has fallen apart. The front drum support is hopeless the plastic used age fractures with the heat making the machine no longer viable to repair. Modern designed rubbish. You have been warned!
