Lots Of Bars And Restaurants, Friendly People, Lot
Lots of bars and restaurants, friendly people, lots of sunshine.
All the restaurants were excellent and very reasonable, our favourites were Milos, Artemis, Olive Tree and Paulos on the main strip, you ll get a lovely meal in any of these. Sophias bar, Coconut Joes and Drunk Corner are all very family friendly places.
We stayed at the Amarylis Apartments - rooms, bar, pool and staff were all excellent. We had a wonderful stay in Kalamaki and are in the process of booking for next year. Just beware of the sun and the wind it deceives just how hot it is.

(2001)Athina Apartments were basic but clean. Cooking facilities only two rings suitable for snacks not four course meals, but large choice of places to eat at reasonable prices in resort. No pool but it doesn't matter, you can use any pool in resort as long as you use their bar too! Beach is fabulous, great seeing loggerhead turtles in their natural environment. Indeed,I feel that a four course meal SHOULD be able to be produced from a small,well equipped kitchen.Simply fill the kettle,boil,and procure 4 pot noodles from your suitcase et VOILA...a four course meal!
Bob from Wiltshire, did you actually read my review? Did you get out of the wrong side of the bed or something? The reference to a 4 course meal was a facetious attempt to describe the scale of cooking facilities for people who may not have used Greek apartments before! And actually, I choose to go to Greece in May so that it is NOT baking hot, I do MY own research! I think it is unfair that you have used me as the butt of your comments, chill out mate!
Why do people comment so; "not enough cooking facilities to produce a 4 course meal", if to produce 4 course meals are what you want then get a Villa with all the facilities.
I cannot understand why someone would wish to travel to Greece on holiday and then in extreme temperatures start producing "4 course meals"! You are on holiday for Gods sake! The more I read of these reviews really makes me think that folk simply do not research their holiday at all, comments like; "you cannot put toilet paper down the toilet in this hotel", "there are mossies that bite", you cannot drink the water", "we were kicked out of our hotel room at 12 noon but did not fly until 0300 the following day (read the damn brochure and flight times before booking and then book a holiday that suits your needs, its not that hard!)"the travel company is rubbish because it rained", "the travel company is rubbish because we had a 4 hour delay at the airport" etc!
