I recently bought my first corsa which is an 03 1.4 Sri. Absolutely love the car and in all very happy but noticed after like a week of buying the car the egr valve was faulty, easily remedied by blanking it off with a plate bought on eBay. 5 quid. Still feels slightly laboured when accelerating. Wonder if expecting too much but as I read other reviews on the car people seem to shout out about performance of this car and I'm just not seeing it. Don't get me wrong it's not proper slow but just not really living up to the Sri badge it's been given. Any ideas on anything that will help the car perform to full potential? Ma y thanks

Had this car a while now and it doesn't always get driven lightly. I've had to change the water pump and the front discs and a track rod end in the time I've owned it. Nothing else apart from oil and petrol. It's only played up once when the EGR valve got bunged up but that's an easy fix, drive 67 miles in 1 hour. :) Or you could clean the valve with carb cleaner. Have around 115 on the clock, 0-60 dunno but I smoked a 1.8 vectra. Engine still is quiet as the day I got it. Overall I'm very happy with it and I'll be keeping it until it's no longer viable to run it.

Ive had my 1.4 SRi twinport since feb now! I had it for my first car and its brilliant! Reasonably quick due to having 90 BHP! Everyone i know says it looks soo much better than their corsa's and i agree with them. The only problem i have is its quite expensive on insurance as im only 17. Other than that i cant fault it! it is reasonably economical as im getting 28 MPG out of it!

Quicker than all my mates old 1.4's!
Looks much better than lower spec corsa's!

The Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SRi is a brilliant car for younger people to own because its does not use alot of petrol and the parts are cheap.

I have a 55 reg Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 16v corsa. This is my first car but I can say this is a great little car, great for posing about in. Get a k & n induction kit and a exhaust will sound the best!

Mines is an ultra Blue Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 16V twinport and I'm happy with it though it could be doing with more bhp.

Nice interior nice looks and all da other little bits you get compared to the sxi version. Just feal like you could get more out of the 1.4 engine. But all in all sound car an everyone who as seen it likes it an says they want one no one as got a bad word towards it.

Had a m reg Vauxhall Corsa with all the body kit and cavy turbo wheels painted black... it had a Vauxhall Nova gte engine a 1.6 8v and got 120mph out of it easily... sadly the front crossmember rotted away so I went and bought a 05 plate 1.4 16v sri Vauxhall Corsa.

I love my Corsa 1.4i SRI, Shes Silver & Is lovely to drive. I would recommend to anyone, however the Corsa C shape - my one is expensive when things go wrong!! Be Warned!! ECU, Water/Diesel Pump all over £1000, & if your cambelt snaps - you might as well scrap it!! A friend of mine has the older Corsa & its soo reliable, she has never had any problems with it at all!! Yes the Corsa C is nicer & has more mod cons, but for reliabilty go for the older one - just make sure it hasn't got too many miles on the clock!! For a first car, I would recommend the older one, & then after a few years move up to one like I have - Too expensive to insure as a learner!! & To expensive to repair if you bump also!! But as an experienced driver, the drive of the 1.4i SRI is definetly worth the money!!

My Corsa is a great little car good for getting about power if needed and very practical I have had my car for 2 years since new I think its silly how they didn't carry on making the same model Corsa because the new one is ugly and fat which effects the performance no way as fast as the 2005 2006 one.

My Corsa SRi is a 1.4 16v, with a Tigra 1.6 16v head. The only other "performance" modifications are a K&N filter and a backbox. My friend has a Peugeot 106 with a Saxo VTR conversion and 1.1 gearbox, and the Corsa can eat it alive. While I've had the car it has seen 120 mph but it didn't have anything left. This is the fastest SRi in my area and leaves the 1.4 16v sports standing too.

I'd definitely buy a Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SRi if I couldn't afford a Ford fiesta Zetec S or a 106 Quiksilver. Its a great little run around and great fun to drive (apart from the gearbox). Don't pay over £1200 for one though - they're not really worth that much any more when newer cars are taking the throne. Make sure the miles on the clock are not over 80,000 - 90,000 even if the person selling tells you its starts first time, its only a matter of time before thing start going PING. Overall I do like this car but would only buy one if I couldn't afford a Ford or Peugeot.

This is my second corsa - I used to have a pre-facelift model, a 1.0L comfort, which was very slow compared to this low insurance pocket rocket. Good return for petrol even when you drive it hard - this is a very good all round car and I would recommend it to anybody.

MY VAUXHALL CORSA 1.4 SRi IS A NICE CAR! PRETTY FAST! I GOT A VAUXHALL ASTRA 1.6 TWINPORT ENGINE WITH 105BHP. VAUXHALL SAID IT WILL DO 0-60 IN 11.5 SEC AND TOP SPEED OF 116MPH.

I bought my first corsa which is an 09 1.4 Sri 5 door. Think it is over rated the car. Feels very laboured when accelerating, and very slow to take off from t/lights. I wonder if expecting too much but as I read other reviews on the car people seem to shout out about performance of this car and I'm just not seeing it. Don't get me wrong it's not proper slow but just not got it, had more power and performance from my 1.2 clio
