I Liked Just Everything About This Movie. This Is
I liked just everything about this movie. This is a good film that all horror lovers should watch. It's in the good but not excellent range of my opinion. I've seen better movies like Dead Silence and Stay Alive. That has enough blood for me.
I Believe The Movie Was Great. Many People Say It
I believe the movie was great. Many people say it was too long and drawn out, but I love the little details put in. I would definitely recomend the movie.
Rise Red Is A Farcical Story About A Group Of Medi
Rise Red is a farcical story about a group of mediums and spiritualists going into the old house of the Rimbauer family, which has been empty for years. Dr Joyce Reardon has the original diary of Ellen Rimbauer, which is the account of her life within this mansion - the house her husband built for them to live in after their wedding, in the early 1900's.
The house was built on an old Indian burial ground, and due to this a lot of strange and mysterious happenings go on in the house over the years. The book gives many details of the exact happenings of the time. One of Ellen's children disappears, a friend hung themselves in the house, corridors move and disappear, and new ones appears, and the house seems to grow on its own.
Dr Joyce Reardon - a professor of paranormal studies at Greenwich university has been fascinated by the book since finding it, and has added many forewords to the book which she had published, including most of the excerpts from the original diary.
The film does not really capture the essence of the diary, and makes Dr Reardon out to be a bit of a thrill seeker who is a bit obsessed. The film is not a true story - it is a follow on, set in modern times. The book is the true story, and none of this is really captured in the film. A little bit disappointing for those of us who have read the book, and were amazed by the mystery of it all.
