24 Series 1

This show is just BRILLIANT. I can not believe we didn't catch it when it was actually on as I remember a lot of people saying how great it was and somehow all the shows and subsequent series' have slipped by. Needless to say, I bought 24 Series 1 in January 2009 and was hooked right from the beginning. The show is just awsesome, great characters and brilliant acting from all involved. I felt bereft when it was all over as I haven't seen a tv series this great in such a long time. Action packed, good twists in the plot just leave you wanting more and more. Needless to say I'm now going to be forced to buy series 2!

One of the most popular dramas on the planet at the moment has to be 24. The series one box-set is an awesome way to get acquainted with Jack Bauer and the rest of CTU if you have been living under a rock for the last few years and have somehow missed this thrilling series.

The basic premise of the show is that it runs from midnight to midnight, with 24 episodes, each one of which is one hour long in order to make the series last one whole day. The real time adventure in Series 1 begins when CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sunderland) is called in to protect Presidential Candidate David Palmer (Dennis Heysbert) who is in line to become the first Black President of the United States. From this point on the show takes an array of twists and turns and each hour finishes on a cliffhanger. If you haven't seen Series 1 then buy this DVD as this truly is the best thing on television.
