The Wicker Man

The Wickerman is based around a young girl mysteriously disappearing. The Police Sergeant played by Edward Woodward investigates the case. The Island where the girl has gone missing is anything but normal, and evidence unfolds that the Island residents are part of a weird cult, who sacrifice for the sake of the crops.

The movie has been released recently, but I haven't seen it. The original version appears very dated, and it has been rated as a Hammer House style movie.
