I liked that it's like in a real town instead of in the woods and how much better it is with how real it looks. Bad points...hmm #1 how the people in Manhattan don't sense anything wrong with Jason when they see him and #2 The guy in the sewer says it floods at 12:00 midnight, then why was he in there? and #3 How Jason looks without his mask, you can just tell it's fake. After all it's not a bad movie buy it. I have to say there are a few mess ups but despite them, it's good movie i personnaly like it, my advice is just buy it.

I love these sorts of film's, and they don't make them as they used to anymore. I think that the horror films these day's are not a patch on the old ones.
Friday the 13th - how it all began:
It was not actually Jason that started all of this off; it was his mother before him. Jason got pushed into the lake as a little boy and that's why he is afraid of water now. As you find out in Freddy vs Jason - that's a brilliant film as well. There are 10 films to my knowledge on Friday the 13th. Made in the early 80's and still growing strong today. Jason has a thing about teenagers, and I am not quite sure why. I always thought that it was something to do with the holiday home that you see in every single film. Not this one, as this one is on a cruise ship. Jason goes on killing sprees every so often, and most of the killings are usually done with a massive knife. In this film though, you see Jason killing people with anything that he can get his hands on.
Jason Takes On Manhattan:
The big apple is in trouble as Jason has woken. This only means one thing really. Who's next? The film is set on a cruise ship mostly. Well really, Jason on a boat with a lot of teenagers could only mean one thing... Who's first for the chop? Jason soon comes back to life in the lake at crystal lake, and it's not too long before the killings start (about 3 minutes into the film). The boy and girl that are on the boat are first to go. You find out what happened to Jason before they die. The story was that Jason as a little boy was at summer camp and was swimming in the lake and he was drowning, and nobody heard his cries so he drowned. His mother swore revenge on the summer camp staff, but they ended up chopping her head off, so Jason came back to life and swore revenge on every teenager that was on crystal lake. A bunch of college students all went aboard the cruise liner, and you guessed, so did Jason. One by one he killed most of them off in various different ways. The only two that survived Finished him off at the end. They throw something toxic on his face and Jason then takes his mask off, and what a pretty sight that is. But anybody that has seen the Jason films will know that Jason is already dead, and yes does come back to life in the next film.
There are no extras on this DVD which is a bit disappointing. There is a scene select on this DVD though, so not all bad.

Overall, this film is not suited for children as there is a lot of violence in it. In my opinion don't watch if easily offend. Or in my husbands case, don't watch if you don't like blood. The Jason films have been going a very long time now, and don't hold out much hope of stopping in the future. They are mostly all the same. The same things happen in all the Friday the 13th films. I love lots of blood and gore, so these films are perfect. Not much of a storyline behind them, but still, more funny than anything. There are no extras on this DVD. It would have been nice to have seen something about how they make Jason up, or how they shot the film, but I guess we will never know. Just when you think that Jason has gone, he will be back knowing Jason, and certainly up to his old tricks again.
Happy watching!
