Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a 1975 movie starring the group known as Monty Python, a comedy group from England that started out in 1969 with Monty Python's Flying Circus. Their humor focused on parody, rude and crude humor and just plain stupid situations. But in this case, it's in the good way.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of the movies the group was involved in. This film makes fun of the King Arthur legend and throughout almost the entire movie, if you appreciate their rude type of humor, you'll find yourself laughing. Just to name a few, instead of riding horses, they are skipping around on imaginary horses while their squire claps coconuts together to imitate hooves. The other is the Black Knight that Arthur fights. Throughout the fight, the Black Knight loses both his arms and legs, but continues to try and fight, all the while yelling insults and profanity as Arthur "rides" away. I won't spoil the rest.

I think if this film was made by in America or Canada, it wouldn't have been as funny because it probably would have been very restrained and much more child friendly, thus not making it as funny. That's another thing I should mention. This movie is not for children. There is swearing, suggestive situations and a lot of blood, even though the blood is so fake and comedic you can't help but laugh at it.

My only problems with this film are in it's final 45-30 minutes where it doesn't seem as funny. It just seems like they ran out of funny things to do or say, though there were a few good ones.

Overall, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a funny, clever and all-together awesome comedy film that anyone can laugh at, even if there are moments where you just want to say "Really?"

A funny movie for all ages. It will make you laugh. They are good song and some about the almighty spam. Join them today on a trip searching for the holy grail and enjoy a laugh or two on the way overall a very good movie. I would recommend it to my family and friends of all ages a great movie. The best part was the spam song.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - Monty Python are comedy legends whose comedy style is simply stupid - in a good way. The Holy Grail is no different from from beginning to the middle is priceless. The middle part is the pointless virgin sketch. Michael Palin could have had a better tale than this. The only funny bit from this is the get on with it lines. Then it gets better. I've got the DVD version and its awesome! The Knights of the Round Table done in lego is funny as hell. It is an awesome move. Go get it now or I'll kill you with a banana.
