Rebel Without a Cause was the first movie to look at kids from their point of view and it had a big impact on the movies and culture in general. Even 50 years later the movie still resonates. One of the reasons for that is how the movie was made. Director Nicholas Ray gave the young cast a lot of creative control, especially James Dean, and that is why so much of the film connects with audiences. I was able to enjoy the film even more after I read the book Live Fast, Die Young: The Wild Ride of Making Rebel Without a Cause, which is full of fascinating insights into how the movie was made and why it is a classic.

Rebel Without A Cause - I love old movies. Rebel Without a Cause is one of the best. James Dean did a wonderful job. It's nice to watch a movie where you can relate a little bit. I'm lucky I have great parents!! The entire movie is good. I've watched it three times this summer! I will definitely watch it one more time this year (September 30) on my Remember Dean night! I highly recommend watching it!
