“OK but online prices and stated length of holiday are fibs”

★★★☆☆

written by on 13/02/2017

Fine I guess once you get over the fact that the online prices do not exist and are just there to draw you in, and that when it says '4 days & 3 nights' it actually means '2.5 days & 2.5 nights'. Our break to Iceland cost almost twice what it had said on line, but was still cheaper than any other place I had looked. We arrived about 2 pm on the first of the '4 days', and were collected from the hotel for the return journey at 2 in the morning on the 3rd night/4th 'day'- somewhat cheeky to call that a 4th day. The guy who booked it for us was pleasant and helpful, and apologetic. When I rang them with a query about the flight, they were also very helpful. We had a great time, I would have given them more stars if they hadn't fibbed.

“Good holiday but not without problems”

★★★☆☆

written by tizzy1812 on 25/02/2015

We booked a combined trip (Celebrity cruise in the Eastern Mediterranean plus a stopover in Rome) with Jetline Cruises. Jetline provided transfers and accommodation but had delegated these to third parties. The third parties did not provide a good service in Rome. The Meet and Greet arrangements did not work as specified so we had to go looking for the office and there was a real problem with our accommodation. We followed this up with Jetline when we got home and after a delay of nearly 4 months we were eventually given a refund for part of our accommodation costs. Jetline did not quibble about this and our refund reflected the difference in value between expectation and reality. It did not really compensate for the aggravation involved though. Jetline were also rather disorganised over the last minute paperwork and needed prompting. Our overall experience was therefore disappointing and we would be rather hesitant to use them again even though the mistakes were not of their own making. As a company they need to sharpen up a bit in the office and in their vetting of the other organisations they deal with.

“Con artists”

★★★☆☆

written by Firmstone on 15/10/2012

Myself and my parter booked a holiday to fuertaventura last year. When we called jetline travel to book they told me a price which included everything. They took my card details and assured me everything was done and I would get confirmation in a few days. After I hung up I got an email from monarch thanking me for booking my flights. I then got a phone all from a 'manager' at jetline travel advising me that they have been unable to book my flights as the price had increased and they need my permission to take more money off my card, they also advised that there were no more standard rooms available at the hotel and I would need to pay more to upgrade to a suite. As you can imagine I was very angry and advised I would not be paying any more money for the holiday and why had I had an email from monarch confirming my booking?! Whilst on the phone I was looking through the brochure for the hotel to discover all rooms were the same and there were no 'class' of rooms. I refused to give permission to take more money and the 'manager' advised they would have to cancel my holiday...I said ok cancel it. He then put me on hold and came back to say they would honour the initial price!!! What a con!! Although I have to add we did not have any more trouble from them and the holiday went very smoothly...our transfers were far better than those of people who had booked through larger companies, all paperwork sent on time etc. After the initial incident I do feel they redeemed themselves, however I would not book through them again...

“The holiday, QM2 cruise, 3 days in NY and return...”

★★★☆☆

written by on 21/10/2010

The holiday, QM2 cruise, 3 days in NY and return flight to Heathrow & then on to Manchester, was booked as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday & I specifically asked that all information came to me - it was sent to my husband. Luckily I caught the first mail & so e-mailed the company to ask them to change it to myself, still stuff came through for my husband & eventually he realised, we were disappointed with this lack of attention to detail. There was no notification that we required estas; and we were not asked if we required transfers. The hotel room in New York was poor but the hotel staff moved us and this was just about ok. On a good note the balcony room booked for the QM2 was brilliant and the ship is absoloutely beautiful, no complaints at all there, outstanding service and facilities. The return flight was good, not sure why we did not fly straight back to Manchester but the connecting flight was not too bad.

“We have just returned from an all inclusive week at...”

★★★☆☆

written by on 13/10/2010

We have just returned from an all inclusive week at Bodrum Holiday & Spa Resort. We too were victims of the Goldtrail liquidation, but we were contacted immemdiately, and new dates arranged for our flights and hotel. I thought that it was excellent value for money. We did have to request another room, as the first one was awful, but this was willingly done and we ended up with a lovely room with a great view.
The transfers from the airport were efficient, and the tours (of which we went on two) were fantastic, and very good value for money.
We are also waiting for a refund due to the demise of Goldtrail, but I don't think that people reealise that settling liquidations does, unfortunately, take a long time. That is not Jetline's fault. I think that a great deal of the criticism is rather unfair.

Originally i was quite mad that i rang for a price and then they confirmed it to ring back and say that the price had actually changed...After looking though they were still the cheapest holiday company I had found and decided to go ahead with the quote. I got stuck due to the ash cloud which wasn't anybody's fault but I got a nice letter and phone call from them to tell me to contact my airline (which was unfortunately ryanair) I got an extra week although out of my own pocket and although originally regretted booking it i'm now glad. You've got to think, although the price may change, it's only a quote and you don't have to go ahead. Beware though they can use your details to book airlines etc separately but try not to take the extras as they are a rip off! Hope this helps!

“How many online sites actually give you the price...”

★★★☆☆

written by on 14/06/2010

How many online sites actually give you the price quoted online, jetline are no different to them.
The scam with jetline seems to be the misleading quality of the rooms, on my first holiday to prague with them my four star hotel I was given hostel basic rooms at the back of the hotel.
This time booking for Turkey they said I had a promotion type room, when I asked what it was he said it was the most basic room in the hotel.
after booking this he then informed me the rooms are no longer available, but for an extra £40 he would upgrade me to their standard room. on checking the hotel standard was their minimum room they did, so he lied to get an extra £40.

It was with dismay that I read the reviews about Jetline. However, I had no complaints after we booked a holiday off TravelZoo via them. Once you get past the headline price on offer and realize there are extras like, transfers, baggage cost, alternative airport fee and credit card payment you are OK! My paperwork arrived on time as did my flight tickets. Another unexpected issue is that I was billed for my accommodation and flights separately! We had no problems so we don't know how they react if we had. But you can say that about any travel agent.

Having had holiday nightmares in the past with various companies we recently returned from a holiday in Turkey that I booked with this company. Apart from having to wait for an hour on arriving for the transfer bus to leave everything else was as expected and we had a lovely holiday. I didn't need to speak with them before I left as I recieved confirmation in the post so cannot comment on customer service. Overall I must say we were happy with the holiday.

written by on 21/04/2010

Hi I wrote a review on Monday 19th April about my experience with Jetline Travel. Well since that date, I have finally spoke to David, who took my booking for 17 people on himself and sorted it out for me. He was very apologetic and I have to say he was fab. He managed to get our booking put on hold so we dont lose our money. We will be re-booking through Jetline using the money they have on hold.

Its a bit hit and miss with Jetline. Inbetween David calling me on Monday and Tues afternoon, I had 3 calls from Jetline who tried to get me to re-book or i lose my money / poor customer service / no idea type of conversation. Its seems its pot luck if you get a good operator or not.

I am just so so grateful that David looked after my booking.

Oh, and if you get a chap called Maz dealing with you - back away from the phone call asap!

Good luck everyone!

Jetline are deceiving everyone, the airlines are issuing full refunds as are the hotels used by Jetline, I have been advised this by an inside source. Stand your ground and insist on a refund if you are not able to re-schedule. If you do reschedule, you do not have to pay any more than what you have paid already.

<br/>I would advise never to book with Jetline again.

I booked my holiday with Jetline Travel. They gave me a very good offer for a holiday to Spain. They booked us a nice hotel. I had some problems, but they were so helpful.

Overall, my holiday was very nice, with very good food and hotel. Everything was perfect, so I strongly recommend this company.

I am thinking of booking with Jetline cruises going to Las Vegas and then on Hawaii for a cruise in October this year. Having read some of the reviews I was a little concerned whether to go ahead with them. What would you recommend?

After our experiences with Jetline I cannot recommend them. I can only suggest that if you do decide to proceed take great care to check their invoice (if you get one). Take especial care if you make any changes to your original booking. They seem to us to have a deliberate policy of misleading and not producing up to date paperwork.

100% don't bother took my booking and credit card details phoned back 15 minutes later to say sorry we cant secure the accommodation so we can supply the flights for £50 more than you could have booked them yourself and if you want alternative accommodation it will be an extra £140.............how come you took my credit card details without confirming it was all in place???? Then when I say cancel flights then I will go elsewhere you say there will be a £90 cancellation fee???...........I think you can go take a running jump what a joke!!! My advice deal direct with airlines and hotels or use a reputable supplier such as Travel Republic!!!
