The album "From the Witchwood" confirms the Strawbs as one of the folk rock music pioneers of the early seventies. Well constructed songs on relevant social/religios issues. Dave Cousins imagnitative lyrics. Exemplary musicianship especially the burgeoning Rick Wakeman. Exploring the boundaries of folk and rock music. Strawbs have not yet diplayed their full potential.
