World War II Online

Almost everything...The teamwork involved in Squads (44th R.G.D.). The vast game map, and the overall play of the game is getting more stratigic now as well as pure fun. I'm from the old school where we used to play for 2 days straight on a 8.5"x22" board (ASL from Avlon Hill) and get so into it, you forget where you are. But the strategy in WWIIOL is just getting started and looks to be inline with real situations.

World War II Online is a Great Multi-Player Massive Online WWII Game. Since it is an MMOG it is continually evolving and improving by nature. With Each Improvement the game play is becoming more rewarding at every turn.

If you are a Sim player you will love this game.

If you like Frag Fests, you most likely will not like this game, but give a try, I have seen many converted.

The Learning Curve is steep. The Best way to tackle this game.

1. Check out the Player Web-sites lots of excellent tips (learn from others)

2. Practice off-line.

3. Hook up with a squad.

4. Try Axis and Allied (different game play - don't ask me why - I think the equipment strengths and weaknesses created this phenomenon- find the side you like)

There is a fear of death with this game. Which means heart pounding action and also a tense frustrating feeling.

I get 20-40 FPS spikes to 60 FPS

But these graphics are no Box game graphics with a viewable distance of 100 yards and 32 player limit.

The Infantry are getting an overhaul in 1.8 new textures and animations. A 1941 Vechicle Set will soon be released soon as well.

My monthly fee hard at work and well worth it too..

Sound is Very good actually. Great 3D, can use surround sound speakers to tell where the enmey is coming from.
