Was with Debenhams for a year and requested renewal quote cos my insurance is due for renewal within next 3 wks. Got offer this morning £1493 for next year, when I am currently paying £683...had no claims while having insurance with them so its bye bye to Debenhams car insurance.

Well i went to the East Kilbride Debenhams in the town centre- customer service was lovely! always asking wether i needed anything or looking for anything in particular etc. As i was shopping i walked past the make up section and saw a muslim woman shopping with children. The song Katy Perry Dark Horse came on and i remembered the controversy about it being offensive to muslims. As the song came on a woman at the make up section looked at the woman and danced to the song turning it up saying something like " we can do what we want you better believe it" - well something along those lines. The woman didnt notice and walked on although I noticed. i think thats horrible rude and offensive doing that and i dont think i'll be going to this debenhams branch again.

I went to return an item this January and because it was reduced by 50% plus, I was told that I could not get anything (including a voucher) unless I purchased something else. A printed policy statement at the tills said the opposite, but they refused to budge. Odd. Anyway to cut a long story short, it's not always the best. That said, it offers good value items and the online team is responsive. Like nearly all of the High Street stores though, they don't seem to accomodate order changes which is a real waste, but overall they are a decent department store with decent stock on offer, especially during sales time.

Having dealt with different people over the past few months i must say the biggest dissapointment we experienced in Debenhams is the lack of care from the staff, we asked for a certain item and they told us they didn't do it, we looked around and it was just in front of the salesperson we mentioned this and she got on the defense by being rude, I am sure if it was her business she would have had a different attitude.Shame for Debenhams as they must lose business to less attentive customers.

As i was shopping in Debenhams for a wedding outfit with my daughter and future son in law.A personal shopper approached us all i can say she was so brilliant she did everything, we were very impressed with her service.She was great it made our day so easy as we did not have to keep getting dressed and undressed searching for different styles and sizes.thanks you are a star!!!!!

The price of goods is good, the quality of goods seems to be good. They also have banned cotton from Uzbekistan because of poor human rights and child forced labour.
Overall it seems to be a good store in my opinion but I do know people that have had problems with the returns policy.
