The Samsung A800 is small and easy to use. Never had any trouble with this phone i'd say the best phone i've ever had.

This is my second phone altogether and that is quite a few seeing as I am only young, but about the phone.
Well, excellent, phone very nice, size: couldn't be better. This is a 100 times better than my old 3210 (nokia) with a very nice screen. My friends also liked this phone. It comes with a wrist strap, a headphone set with microphone, manual, and various other things. Very good deal. As you can see from the pic it has got an arial, this can be replaced with a smaller one. I have had this phone for about 4/5 months. I have had no problems with it. Some people say these phones go weird and the colours inverse and the screen goes all odd. They must've dropped theirs in a puddle. When you get it there is a cover on the charger slot. Very easy to lose. The WAP on this phone takes about 10 seconds to load with full signal and I don't reccommend you go on it too often because it's expensive.
Overall a very good phone. recommended to anybody.

The Samsung A800 is a great mobile phone for someone who doesn't want complicated technological features. I wouldn't say it was basic but it is deffinately a stunner! I as a teenager prefer a phone which is not too expensive as im a bit clumsey and have dropped a few phones in my time! The games are quite good but game number 2 is the best of them all. SO if your looking for a practical and not too dated phone i suggest you give the a800 a whirl!

The Samsung A800 is a Super little phone, I'm used to Nokia's, which is why i'm finding it a little difficult navigating, getting used to a totally different way of using my phone. My previous phone was Nokia 7210, a brick by standards now, I've even given up colour screen and the camera to get my hands on this little baby, cool phone, when people see it they all want to touch, handle and play with it. Recommend 100%

The Samsung A800 is far superior than Nokia. In my many years of contract phones, an upgrade was always a nokia, and they have very little improvements between models, once you get at least one design right, the rest are winners. Samsung seemed to have got that right!!

Overall the Samsung A800 is a wicked phone, best i've had. Next i want this size phone with a colour screen and camera!

I recently upgraded my mobile from an ancient ericsson to this, the Samsung A800. The difference in size is amazing, this phone is unbelievably tiny while i used to get my old phone mixed up with breeze blocks. I know alot of people have said this phone (A800) lacks some features like a colour screen or a camera but i feel it has sufficent features and as mobiles are meant for PHONING (when you type some-bodys number in and actually speak to them)then who REALLY needs a colour screen on a fuzzy, rubbsihy picture! As ive said, this phone includes polyphonic ringotnes which are just brill. After years of hearing the boring drone of monphonic ringtones (a load of beeps) these make a welcome and refreshing change.
I got this phone for £50, as i upgraded, i feel this a very reasonable price.
This phone also has a couple of other less obvious features like an alarm( my old phone really was that old; go on laugh) and an organiser which both help me keep my life running smoothly.
There are also three game on the phone which i find have good storylines and are addicting. The games included are ' Fortress' in which you have to defend the earth against UFO'S ! The second game is 'Space War' which is an arcade board game, with the aim being to remove 80% of the background while avoiding the MUSHROOM (evil laugh) bombs. The third and final game is x-fighter were the goal is to fly a fighter plane to its destination.
I included predictive text in the 'good points' box as it SOMETIMES comes in handy when you are in a rush to finish the tezt message off. But, when your in a hurry it can sometimes slow you down as it does not always recognise the word to want to type,so, you have to go through the process of putting it into the dictionary.
Overall this phone, as Peter Reid would say, is 'Top Draw', it is small, a great looker, packed with useful features, the ringtones are great aswell as the games. What else can i say?

I looked at A300 T100 and A800 in a shop, the best looking was the A800 it's small nice looking, battery time and talk time, much better than the T100 which have short times, the difference between A800 and T100 was the T100 had a colour screen hence the short battery time, otherwise the A800 is like the T100, except the T100 is big and not sexy, I research before buying any product, now two other friends who were going to buy the T100 have decided to buy the A800 after my recommendations, and they are very happy with this phone, it's amazing what a little phone can do. Also the cost was nearly a £100 MORE for the T100 just because it had a colour screen, who really wants a colour screen especially when you have to keep putting the battery on charge. The A800 just keeps going well done. What more can I say except it's a great little phone.

Hi Anna, I am pleased that I read your review... I found it very helpful. I have been looking into getting a new mobile for some time and have been looking at getting a T100 but after reading your review and several others I have been having second thoughts. I haven't really seen these phones around before and so I was wondering if you could tell me where you got yours from and some sort of price range. I am looking at getting it on PAYG if you could please?
Thanks, -SB x

Hi Fahim Raj - Sorry to hear that your phone stopped working after 7 days? (you must have been unlucky!) Firstly all items are usually guaranteed for 1 year, therefore yours is still under guarantee, you need to contact the people you bought the phone from and ask them to replace it. or get advice from [email protected] (they may be able to help you). Also check out web page www.samsungindia.com. But definately contact the person who you bought the phone from, it is there responsibility to replace fault items at there cost, and NOT yours.
Hope this helps. Let me know how you get on.

I have tried and wasting almost daily 4hours on Internet to contact Samsung by Emails, Chat, Fax and even phone. no body giving proper guidance.

Hi Sparkley Bunni
Glad you liked the review on the samsung A800 here is the info that you wanted. I obtained my phone from: www.virginmobile.com it is a Pay as you go, and cost me £160 included delivery next day plus free £25 worth of airtime if ordering the phone on line, I have used virgin before and they are very good, plus they rates are good. Hope you will enjoy your phone as much as I have. (They were the cheapest but think the phone might have gone down by a futher £10) check out Virgin and see for yourself.

Some melodies play with ring+ vibration. Check it out.
One melody I am using is called 'Ocean' which is the title song of 'mermaid' animation film from Walt Disney.
