Public Enemy, Fear of a Black Planet

Music at its most exciting and emotional, the amount of effort I hear in this album suggests everyone involved was obsessed in making _Fear of a Black Planet_ something really special. More funky and fun than _It Takes A Nation Of_ without drowning out the serious themes in tracks like "Burn Hollywood Burn" and the title track. Another reason some prefer Fear Of A Black Planet over the aforementioned album is that Chuck has a looser lyrical flow here, allowing more space for The Bomb Squad to do their stuff.

Lastly, while Ice Cube and Big Daddy Kane appear on "Burn Hollywood Burn," it's refreshing for a rap album to have so few quests on it.
