311, Evolver

Creatures is an awesome song that really blows up in concert. Other Side of Things rocks, and Still Dreaming is pretty good as well.

As a longtime fan, I found this album to be a huge disappointment, with a number of my least favorite songs (Same Mistake Twice and Jacks Rule the Realm are two of the worst songs ever to make it onto a 311 album)Lyrics are more repetitive and lack the depth shown in other 311 albums.

This album is rehash. 311 needs to break out and expand their music. May be go back to their "Grass Roots" or their album right after that if you enjoy a rubbish version of the once great 311 go for it. If I had bought this CD I'd be P.O.ed.

"Evolver" is one of the best albums put out by 311. 311 stayed with their classic sound that has hooked their fans for the last 10 years, but like their title it has evolved over time. Their music and lyrics have matured over time and is better than ever. On every 311 album the lyrics have been deep and meaningful. Well they have the same thing going for them on this album, but the lyrics are smoother and more genious on "Evolver". The song "Uncertain" is extremely deep and the lyrics of the song paint a perfect picture of the message 311 is trying to tell everyone. The single "Creatures" off "Evolver" is the best song off the new CD. It is 311 really rocking out and it is incredible.

This Album has everything 311 doing their relaxing chill songs to them rocking out and jamming like they do best. Also the case and art work in the cd is breathtaking. This CD could be their best ever.
