Groovey and loud. Made me buy their next album, Beneath, Between, Beyond which was a total waste of money.
It's a bit too straight forward. Static X is one of those bands you don't enjoy seeing as much as you do listening. Wayne Static sure has freaky hair.
Maybe that's the nature of industrial metal but you'd think the drummer's a drum machine and that they have used a lot of sequencing (well, maybe they have).
If you're into Industrial Metal, this album is as Industrial as anything…

Static-X, Machine: I'm not into Nu metal at all. As a 1980's heavy metal fan you find this type of music less technical. But "Machine" is different. It's not as good as what you get from Fear Factory (Although Wayne Static is a very bright musician and producer) but it's what every Metal fan would enjoy. It even made me buy "Between....Beneath...Beyond" which of course, I found an absolute waste of money.
"Machine" is probably the best Static-X will ever do…
