I bought the HP d145 Printer with caution as I expected bundling all that functionality into one device would result in inferior quality.
Not so. The Speed and quality is excellent.
I had an installation problem but the HP online technicians sorted it out in a couple of minutes using a chat window - Nice work.

I have bought two of these printers and generally like them. You can get around the ink fill chip by turning off the ink level gauges. The book tells you how to do this - hit <> keys at the same time and type 456 (for color) and 789 for black ink. Becareful not to run out of ink as it can damage the print head.

I agree that quality is generally very good although mine tends to print a light grey colour a bit green. Also the ink cartridges cannot be re-filled due to a clever HP chip on the cartridge that cannot be by-passed (according to Cartridge World anyway).

I agree this is an excellent multifunction printer. I have had an HP G85 before the HP d145 and the 145 is an improvement. My warning is - I guess I print about 10,000 - 20,000 copies a year and both units gave shortly after 12 months.
