I Love This Benefon Q Mobile Phone! After Using It

I love this Benefon Q mobile phone! After using it for a few months, I really think I made a good choice. When I bought this phone, I was attracted by it's look (sounds shallow...well, I guess men are...especially those who value design). It is a simple, elegant and well made mobile...in fact I will say, it is a classic! The phone is easy to use and functions are good enough for everyday use. To be honest, mobile phone's functions are sometimes more then you need. So, if you want a tiny, simple and reliable mobile...go for this! Don't get it because you want to use it for Web or Wap! It is not a phone for that! ...use your computer for Web!

I will probably get newer mobile phone in the future but I will never give up my Benefon Q...never!!!

The Benefon Q Is A Cool Looking Mobile Phone-don't

The benefon Q is a cool looking mobile phone-don't buy it for the wap/web/e-mail cos they don't work easily-call quality is good even if it seems to take a while to search out networks(longer than my nokia 8210 on the same sim!). The software is also slow to react (key reaction/message deletion/memory saving) but if you just want to use it as a cool phone no-one else will have then benefon Q is definitely more exclusive than any (plasticy) nokia!

I Had A Benefon Q Mobile Phone Over One Year Ago B

i had a benefon Q mobile phone over one year ago but i sold it out, after that i felt so regret to do it, so i got it back one year later. I think the benefon q is really the phone what i wanted. however, the sample on their web site is really nice, blue back-lit, same colour front and back, smooth and bright surface; but the real thing is not as good as that one, a bit disappointed. if anyone wants to buy one, just get into their eshop. It is now available online purchase, for about 4 days, you can get want you want!

i saw it has "ruthenium" one available, if there anyone know is it nice? tell me by: [email protected]

An excellent review! My sentiments are similar. After using Nokia handsets (including the 6210 recently) for the last 7 years, the BENEFON Q (which I've had for 2 months), is the very best phone ever!

I Saw This Phone In A Magazine And I Instantly Wan

I saw this phone in a magazine and I instantly wanted one - it was just SO beautiful. The only problem was that they are so damned difficult to get hold of, with no major outlet in the UK stocking them, and with the second largest mobile phone operater in the UK, BTCellnet never having heard of it before. This did not stop me though, as I scoured the internet for months looking for it, and I finally did find one and instantly ordered it.

I wasn't dissappointed when I opened the box. The phone is a masterpiece of design. The problem I did have, however, is that the implementation of WAP into the phone is nowhere near the best on the market - not least because just to enter the settings requires a degree of some sort. This phone actually eneded up going back to the stockist in disgust - and to my later regret.

I, in the eventuality, decided that I just had to have one despite the poor WAP functionality, and so ordered a sim-free handest from Benefon's own website. This was a major dissapointment. The phone upon delivery rattled when shook as though something had come loose inside; the phone emitted a buzzing noise intermittantly; it came with the wrong plug for the charger; the phone refused to connect to practically any WAP or web page; the phone would freeze on a regular basis causing the user to have to take the battery out and reinsert it to get it to work again; the keypad intermittantly stopped making sounds when a button was pressed, would make small electronic blips, and would then start making the correct tone again.

Unfortunately, Benefon were less than helpful saying that the buzzing, the rattling, and the messed up keypad noises were all 'normal' - while the WAP problem must be a 'network issue'. Needless to say, I sent the phone back.

Unperturbed, I just bought another Benefon Q yesterday from another source, and most of the problems are not evident here. It doesn't rattle, I have a British plug, it doesn't freeze (as often) and it doesn't make a buzzing noise. The WAP is another matter, and is still causing a problem - although I have heard from other sources, notably at wap.com, but also from other reviwers, that this is a problem not unique to my phone.

In any event, despite these problems, I would not give this phone up for anything. Am I a fool? - probably...but I'm a fool with the sexiest and most exclusive phone in town. How many other Benefon Q's have you seen?

I ran into this brand name(benefon) in my quest to provide an invaluable service in my locality. My choice was the Benefon Esc. Such review comments about a brand of the product leaves one wondering if he has made the right choice, considering that the service we hope to provide may require prompt response to an alarm event.

An overview of the attributes of the Benefon Esc makes it a suitable companion for the average upwardly mobile gentleman. If we have to adopt this product with dealers only in Egypt, Morocco and South Africa how will after sales services be enjoyed especially in questionable circumstances of a likely failure in the GPS functionality. Or how would we effect downloading our local road maps without fear of error in cordinates.

We really need this phone and we are hoping the parent company can can as usage our fears by increasing it's delearship network in Africa. Proximity is one sure pre-requisite to responsivity.

In Finland there are quite a few Benefon Q phones around. I have one also. The latest software version works fine (dated september/2001). I have used the Q now one month without system freezings.

By the way, it works damn fine as normal mobile phone. WAP is something we don't need. I had a Nokia phone before Q and the WAP didn't work any better.

-sorry about my English

If you or anyone else has problem with WAP/WEB settings you can always take contacts to Benefon helpdesk just sending SMS to advice Q (find to the phone)putting only letter Q on phone and sending sms, they will call you back ASAP.
