“immortal phone”

★★★★★

written by Jerdiam on 06/09/2018

This phone has been working for years! I last week specifically checked, now such devices are no longer done. At that time it was a cool phone, and now about him a lot of memes on the Internet.

“YES!”

There are today, two reasons for owning a mobile 'phone. ONE/for 'soshal meeja'...all the tweeting and Instagrams and Farcebook comments and Googling things you can't be bothered to learn about and taking photos...etc,etc. TWO/for ringing people. Yes,...bit of a shock, that,eh? Not EVERYONE wants or needs a miniature computer in their pocket when at work,as we don't all work in 'sales' or have 'urgent meetings'-some of us actually work. ...and,if you work for a living, you want/need a 'phone that won't let you down. One that gives not one hoot about water, weather, hills, rough handling,mud-even finding itself outside with you during a rainstorm-meh. 3310 to the rescue! Yes;rain,wind,snow,mud,floods...my 3310 has come through the lot-and still,17 years later AND on the original battery,it's THE reliable phone. That's 'phone',not 'playstation';but if the effluence has interfaced with the air conditioning & it's a solid,reliable,no-nonsense means of communication you need-the Nokia 3310 is it. When your iphone's a distant memory, your 3310 will still be going. TRUST it.

I have had my Nokia 3310 for some time and love it because it is so easy to use and easy to handle with the key pad ect
it is easy to read ,send messages, answer, end, the only thing it does not do is take pictures and have a radio,
people like my self we need a phone like this one as we are getting older and do not understand how to work some of the modern phones and this one is so easy to read as our eye sight
cannot read the new smaller screens and words

What can I say. Still one of the best phones I've ever owned. Super reliable and built like a brick, literally. My uncle was on the phone on the top of a crane. He dropped his 3310 about 100ft down while he was talking. He went to the bottom and the bloke was still at the other end on his way to see if he was OK. It needed a new case, that was it. 100ft on to concrete. I don't think many other phone would have survived this. I want to buy another now though.

I have had quite a few phones. The Nokia 3310 was my first. This is by far the best phone I have ever had. It is very user friendly. It is VERY durable. My phone went through a lot and never had but a scratch. It was dropped in a pool and still worked. I had this phone for two years and never had any problems. I have learned my lesson. When you find a good thing stick with it. I have had nothing but problems with all my phones since!

written by Sez on 20/08/2004

I've had a Nokia 3310 for 21 months now, and it's been fantastic. The only problem I had with it for a while was the network - so I got it unlocked from Orange and put on Vodafone 6 weeks ago. I love this phone, OK, it doesn't have the mod cons, but it is reliable, and that's more important. Unfortunately due to heavy usage the battery on mine is now wearing down, and I'm going to have to buy a new phone in the nextcouple of days. I'm seriously tempted to buy another Nokia, this is the third phone I've had and I've been very impressed with it, and the only Nokia I've owned. I haven't seen it for sale still on the high street though? If it is available still, buy it!

I presently own a Sony Ericsson P800, Samsung 300, Nokia 8310, and my Nokia 3310 which I've owned for over three years. They are all great phones the bottom line is it depends on what you want to use it for. I always go back to my Nokia 3310 from time to time which has given me great service in countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan.

★★★★★

written by Chinawyte. on 13/02/2003

I am 17 years old and I've had my Nokia 3310 for over 2 years now. In short - I love it! The poor little thing hasn't got much status anymore among all the new phones with their 'polyphonic ringtones' and 'media messaging' but that's kind of why I like it so much. I think mobile phones are getting to the stage where all the extra options they give you are a bit pointless, unless you're a hardcore businessman! For my needs - which are phoning, texting, alarm, calculator and reminders - it is absolutely perfect, and I think it would suit most ordinary peoples needs too. It is especially good for teenagers as it is within their budget (and has games on it!), and for older people who don't want to be blasted with confusing space-age technology from newer phones. I am looking to get a new phone now but not because mine is bad - I turn 18 soon and I would like a contract phone as opposed to pay as you go. I will be sad to give up my little Nokia 3310... we've been together for over 2 years and it has never let me down! I haven't always treated it well at times... since discovering the joys of clubbing (aged 16) I have dropped it on the floor, spilt alcohol over it and trodden on it in 6" stillettos more times than I've had cooked dinners... and it's still in perfect condition! My only real complaint is that the battery life has decreased over time - but no wonder, with all the use it gets from me! It's also a bit heavy but that is probably why it has lasted me so long. Unlike all the flimsy 'flip' phones that are around now, this one is strong and sturdy. If anyone is thinking about buying this phone - don't hesitate. It will last as long as you want it to :)

I'd like to get something straight, I have a certain dislike towards Nokia phones, just cos everywhere I look someones got one. Little did I know that I would soon purchase a Nokia 3310 and understand the big hoo-ha about this mobile phone.

First of all, it's a moderate price. It has a long battery life (so long as the primary charge is 24 hours). It's feature packed and customisable. It's very good for throwing at people without risk of breakage.

Soon I found what the big hullaballo was. Everyone has a Nokia cos they're reliable, good value and enjoyable.

Get one and enjoy it. It doesn't really matter though, coz we're all slaves, like everyone else you were born into a bondage, and in the matrix we will stay regardless of what phone we have.

(It's ok, I'm not that sad, I just watched the Matrix n it kicked ass, remember...they use Nokia phones in that!)

★★★★★

written by coo1k3n. on 13/07/2002

I think the Nokia 3310 is a great mobile phone to use, especially for teenagers. You can change the look of your phone by buying new covers from nearly any store, you can make your phone sound cool with your own ringtones by using the composer which means you can get ringtones for free. Screensavers, however, are difficult to get. If you visit a website you have to call a special hotline to recieve your picture and they usually cost over £1. Also there is not enough space for messages. you can recieve up to only 14 texts in your inbox but no more, message folders would have solved this problem. Except for these two points, everything else is excellent. You can write reminders, turn on the vibration alert, have operator logo's, change the look of your phone, assign voice tags to people in your phonebook and more...

written by Lisa. on 22/04/2002

I had the Nokia 3310 mobile phone for about a year and can honestly say I never had one problem with it. The text is good, the games are good you can get plenty of ring tones for it and screen savers. The buttons are set nicely apart so you don't hit other ones by mistake, I would recommend this phone to anyone. I liked it a lot and only changed mine because I went on to a contract and got a newer phone cheap but, for pay as you go people, this is well worth the money or even the nokia 3330 because it,s exactly the same but with wap.

written by Shaun. on 13/01/2002

I got this fone for X-Mas, to replace a Siemens C35i and was very impressed. The nokia 3310s solid tough design out-performs any handset ive ever had (out of 7 fones). I'm glad i got this phone. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a new fone. Nokia is definitely the best company seeing as they've been established the longest. The call quality is compareable to my land line. And the codecs are change-able. So you can activate and deactivate EFR and Halfrate codecs to suit. Id give this phone (3310) 10/10. Seriously.

★★★★★

written by mr-sniffy. on 27/12/2001

I have had my Nokia 3310 phone since about october/2001 and its now 12/28/01 and i have no reason to buy a new phone. it has all that i require in a cheap bundle (as it costs only AU$200 - AU$300). getting ringtones are so easy as the 3310 has ringtone composer which is always handy for when you want to personalize your phone. also when you want to give your phone that extra 'umph' all you have to do is go to your local mall and you will find hundreds if not thousands of 3310 cases and you cant tell me you will not find the right one for you :) . after having a motorola V2288 this is much better in every way. the V2288 is garbage compared to my 3310. the old motorola had bad reception (the 3310 has great reception), it had difficult menus (the 3310 menu is soooo easy to navigate) but the 2 things that make the V2288 a decsent phone are the WAP and the FM radio but im doing a 3310 review not a V2288. the 3310 is a good all round phone for a teenager with a life or a small bussiness man (like a salesman). its not cheap but also not expensive. give it a go but if its not in your price range go for th V2288. its not as good as the 3310 but the WAP and FM radio are handy. if you want to read a funny review, goto the 'Alcatel One Touch Easy Dual Band' section and click on the review by Bogdan Giurgiu (he gave it 2/10)
