Quartered Safe Out Here is a bluntly honest, yet bittersweet account of men and their actions in (generally) the worst of circumstances. This memoir is filled with the perfect balance of humor, historical detail, high adventure, satire, philosophy and wisdom that is common to all Fraser manuscripts. However, the Cumbrian dialect, prevalent throughout the book, that Fraser attempts to mimic with phonetical spelling of dialogue, can be a bit laborious to get through at times, especially for a California boy.
