Well ... I Have No Function, And No Agenda.as

Well ... I have no function, and NO agenda. As a veteran of the War in Angola, I read your Fighting Scared, and am ever thankful for having purchased the book. I believe it taught me the one thing that has plagued me since I left the army - and that was the answer to the nagging question, "did I do enough?" Or - "am I MORE of a man?"I now doubt that I never will be as long as I see the things I didn't do as an obstacle. You're a man of integrity, Robin ... and someone to look up to. And I was, admittedly, disappointed to read about the pettiness that went on in the SAS - but soon realised that if it happened to Jesus, you may feel blessed in it happening to you too. Thanks, bru - for your encouragement. I was beaten half senseless by 15 younger guys in the beginning of this year, and stood afterwards, all beaten blue, BUT with a HUGE smile on my face. WHY? because I took it, and stood up. Thanks for the encouragement, bru ...

Hi,

I see myself in your words. Not in special forces, but a medic who felt I'd proved myself in the Gulf only to have a promising career flushed down the pan by the internal politics of the chosen few who weren't even there.

I find solace from the book in that if the SAS can be like that then any unit can.

What A Fantastic Read. I Couldn't Put It Down. It

What a fantastic read. I couldn't put it down. It was a real shame how Rob was treated by the army. What a wasted talent that the army could have utilised. Well worth reading! I saw a lot of myself in this story. Not the SAS bit obviously, but his life in general.

I Love Sas Books And This Was Nothing Like The Oth

I love SAS books and this was nothing like the others that I've read; however, I loved the depth and unusual approach of the author. I would fully recommend anyone to read it.

For A Refreshing Insight Into The Mind Of A Fighti

For a refreshing insight into the mind of a fighting man; buy Fighting Scared: My Life in the SAS. Robin Horsfall has written a book of great depth that opens doors that are usually left closed by less secure men. Anyone who says "this is the same old stuff" clearly hasn't read the book.

Robin Horsfall, Fighting Scared: My Life In The Sa

Robin Horsfall, Fighting Scared: My Life in the SAS - The description of his early years is moving and honest. He is obviously driven to prove himself and does exactly that in a remarkable way. This is the only book I have ever read that ends with the word Love.

I Got Robin Horsfall's Fighting Scared To Read On

I got Robin Horsfall's Fighting Scared to read on a long journey and it made the journey even longer.

It was the same as all the other books writen by ex soldiers about the Army/S.A.S., I was expecting more from this book maybe too much, after the first chapter I knew what was going to be like for the rest of the book and I was not far wrong, great bunch of lads, close shaves with the enemy of which the writer was the hero of the hour, how brave he was etc etc.

Good book if you can't sleep as this will put you to sleep.

This guy obviously didn't finish the book or even get to the end of the first chapter. The book came out 2 years after the other books he refers to. Robin Horsfall portrays himself as anything but a hero. His story is an in depth account of his fears.
