Robinson Crusoe Is About A Man Named Such Who Aban
Robinson Crusoe is about a man named such who abandons his middle class life for a more audacious one as a sailor upon the sea. His father tries to stop him from abandoning his current and as he claims the most "safest" type of life for one of great temeritous pursuits and circumstances that will most surely get him killed. But Robinson is obstinate and runs away for the type of life he wishes to live, in order to get away from the insipid one that he currently is in, all against his parent's wishes. Adventure was what he sought after, but it proved to be the biggest mistake of his life, as he ended up getting in a massive storm which resulted in the deaths of all his boat mates, and with him, miraculously alive and stranded on a deserted island. For the next thirty years he is stuck on that island, left to either repent and self-pity and die, or overcome his emotions and live. He chooses the latter but does so with great suffering. Read the book and enlighten yourself with the interesting and insightful ways Robinson uses to continue to survive, even in comfort and luxury, and immerse yourself in the age old myth that exerts a timeless and exotic appeal.
