I Adore The Mayor Of Casterbridge, Only Started Re

I adore The Mayor of Casterbridge, only started reading it last week and already half way through, fantastic storyline, use of language and style of text is obviously typical hardy. well worth the money, its emotive yet humourous. Fantastic storyline, very engaging and beautiful imagery. Maybe slightly hard to grasp the switches in time.

Extremely Descriptive. Very Engaging. The Period I

Extremely descriptive. Very engaging. The period is complex but very easy to adapt to. The language used is 'typically hardy' his unique style shines through very clearly. The storyline is easy to follow. If you haven't read any Hardy novels before you may find it a little bit of a challenge as some of the dialogue can be a bit hard to grasp. I would however recommend you to read Tess Of The D'Urbervilles before reading the Mayor Of Casterbridge as it's better to lunge straight into the deep end if you like as Tess Of The D'Urbervilles to just as agreeable if not more than maoyr but both give different views on the time period. Well worth reading! A Thomas Hardy classic!
