I won't write a review on all the Robert Jordan, Crossroads of Twilight. The Wheel of Time started out wonderfully and for six books showed great promise. They were well written, absorbing, and moved the story along without draging or rushing. After that the became a sort of soap opera with the same events being related to us over and over from several points of view. The laborous battle of the sexes finally became so overwhelming and silly as to be more than can be born. I don't know for sure what happened, but it seems to me that the story ground to a glacial pace purposely. I sold the entire collection I'd ought at my favorite used book store. I find this very sad. This series had the potintial to be one of the best fantasy series around, and instead is now simply an over long soap opera.
