Tove Jansson and Esther Freud's The Summer Book was a given to me as a gift from my daughter when I became a grandmother. An ideal gift for this occasion. I've enjoyed it so much that I chose it for our Book group this month and everyone, without exception, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Such a welcome and refreshing change from so much modern fiction.
