I have a 2007 mondeo 2.0 tdci as a cab its done 155000 miles with no big probs at the moment its very noisy may be timing chain or aux belt tensioners but its been good till now as with all diesels you must keep them serviced I change the oil every 6000 . I think the ford needs cleaners in the fuel to keep the injectors happy. My peugeot 406 @ 3000000 miles is still going well and quieter but the running gear on new peugeots is not up to the job so i got the ford .Time will tell need another 1000000 miles yet

got my tdci ghia 2 months ago good price paid for a car with lots going for it. was lucky most major works already done the car starts first time good mpg can fit all i need into it leather interior gives it that touch of luxury, cruise control and 6 disc player is a bonus on them long drives across the country to see my daughter overall fautless and would recommend one to anybody looking for a good family car with that little bit of an edge.

mondeo tdci ghia 130bhp overall i love this car 111000 miles and still dose 50+ to the gallon. The one problem I've had is last week it wouldn't start, as it was -8 outside i first went for a new battery, £59 lighter this didn't cure the starting problem, but would start on a bump, i enquired at my local garage, they said a new starter was needed. They had it for the morning, finding that it wasn't the starter. The car is now in blue bridge ford, and £224 pounds later it looks like the live from the battery to the starter is breaking down, my only problem is there's not one in the ford stock in this country, its coming from Spain. So be aware of this nightmare problem

had the car now for 2 years and 30k, good performance,it hasnt let me down once. apart from the dual mass fly wheel, going at 100k. which was a £800 job, also bonnet catch needs to be greased regualy or that jams needing new grill and catch costing £200 in bits. apart from that cant fault it, managed 680miles in one day and on one tank of fuel. at 52mpg. sat at 75-85.

I bought the Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130 Zetec only 2 weeks ago to replace a 1997 1.8LX Mondeo as this was so comfortable and was my second mondeo. I wish I'd never bothered. The ride is excellent and the performace the same but the comfort is awful the lumber support even when turned to the lowest position is still hard, the seat back is hard, I'd be better on a garden bench! Don't touch these cars now if you have any sensativity in your backside as you won't have any in a few miles time.

I bought my 2003 2.0 TDCI Zetec on the 21/03/09 after a naughty HGV totalled my 1997 1.8 mondeo zetec on 19/03/09
I bought it privately. Machine silver, 1 previous owner, 55,000 miles full service history, new tyres, just had new discs and pads, the previous owner had fittedthe 2005 model rear light cluster fitted and chrome front grill. Looks and feels mint............ £2900 Bargain

- 130bhp engine is strong and powerful.
- Comfortable and roomy, even with children in the back.
- Boot is enormous.
- Very good looking in Zetec S spec. Looking at my 53 Zetec S 2.0 TDCi as a whole i'm very pleased with it. I enjoy driving it and it handles well. It's very comfortable and quiet on the motorway although it has had many expensive problems.
My car was bought second hand and had been used for towing before I bought it. As a result I would strenuously advise that you avoid an example showing any evidence of such activity. My car has required a new clutch, new flywheel, new gearbox, new rear subframe bushes and new rear wheel bearings.
There are also a number of smaller niggles, like the stereo on/off button is right in the firing line of your knuckles when you engage 3rd gear and the connectors for the heated front screen (one each side) are right under the scuttle panel, so they get wet and corrode which leads to heated screen failure.
I also find the low temperature warnings to be very annoying. You either get an amber or red light on your dashboard which makes my heart rate jump every time it comes on. Please Ford, my dashboard is for vehicle-related warnings and information, stick that somewhere else.
The last niggle I have is the woefully small capacity of the screen washer bottle. Luckily there is a level warning light but even so, mine is empty in less than a week after maybe 2 washes per day.
It might sound like I don't like the car very much, but I actually love it, despite all these problems, most of which were my fault for buying a car used for towing. Buy one, you'll love it and if you get the Zetec S it comes with a factory fitted ST style bodykit too.
I also highly recommend the Synergy 1 tuning module from tuning-diesels.com. It's transformed my car in 5th and 6th gear.

The Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi is almost as fast as the 330ci auto. The best 2 litre on the road diesel wise is the passat tdi Just bought ,love it ,previous car was a 52 focus which is another brilliant car that's done me proud. Just to let you all know that the 2 litre version is actually a Jaguar. Same engine, box and sub chasis just a different body and runnin gear

I've just bought a Ford Mondeo Zetec 20 tdci on a 02 plate with 62000 miles on it, it has got the st bumpers and 18 inc alloys looks great and drives great. But I find the diesel engine a bit noisy and takes for ever to warm up but have coming from a v6 4x4 maybe it ' s just me thinking it ' s noisy. It cost me £64.00 to fill up which is a lot comparing the 4x4, lets see how long this will last on a full tank, but above all I'm quite happy at the moment.
As this is my first ford diesel I would appreciate any feed back on how to maintain it and if any thing needs changing at this age and mileage.

I purchased a Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi ZETEC car from Brunels of Bristol whose salesmen went the extra mile & made me feel very important; they were really great! & simplified all the difficulties with the paperwork from start to finsh, I drove away in my used Mondeo (2,years old) within a week should any of the Brunel staff read this I just would like to say thank-you!
My Mondeo is on a 55 plate & overall is a faultless car! me & my wife love it...when we are out we feel special! it is a T.D.C.i.=Turbo Diesel Common-Rail injection, we get about 48 m.p.g. our insurance (Fully Comprehensive) for both of us is around £320 p.a. (Which we think is good)The Mondeo has lots of room, & is very fast there is lots of boot space we have the Zetec model so we have the extras too alloy wheels etc..
All round at least to us the best family car we've ever had...

Engine after 60k has become very noisy on tickover which is poss auxillary belt tensioners, but this does not detract from a 2500mile trip at 90mph returning 54 mpg fully loaded and not a drop of oil used, this car gets an oil change every 6k with fresh filters. Not bad eh!

Great on fuel economy approx 35-40 miles to the Gallon on a run. Stereo on a steering wheel, driver assisted computer loads of little extras being the Zetec new name for Ghia..
Also instead of the overhead Cam-Belt being changed at 60,000k the Diesel has a Cam-Chain good for 120,000k (Wow!)
A serious contender against the m.p.v. which has robbed IMHO The Mondeo however you can't keep a good hidden I believe this car with it's never ending updaes is a winner!
I am highly delighted & very prod of my Zetec Mondeo...Terry

Probably the most reliable car I have owned. It doesn't use any oil or water and the temp gauge never goes above the middle mark, even when stuck in traffic for long periods.
A good all rounder and fantastic value for money if you get one at the right price.
This will go on forever without missing a beat.
