my fiesta is on a 56 plate it has done only 42,316 miles in garage at moment with MAJOR INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE the garage ( ex Ford dealers) have told me £4600 for a new engine or they will give me £600 trade in. I dont think that this is right, and am now preparing a case with a solicitor and the Trading Standards Office to get the value of the vehicle back. would i buy a ford again NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER.

My Ford Fiesta is an 03 and had to get 3 injectors and steering rack done inside 22 months....dealer blamed bad diesel but really it's Ford diesel engine to blame...
I think these are the same engine as the Peugeot 1.4hdi which was pure rubbish.
I would never buy a diesel Fiesta again, would going to buy an 2005 Focus 1.6 tdci but these engines are poor too giving loads of bother.
Best to stick to the petrol in these.
