Ann Rinaldi, Finishing Becca: A Story About Peggy

Ann Rinaldi, Finishing Becca: A Story about Peggy Shippen and Benedict Arnold - Finishing Becca is well written and takes a great approach to telling the story of the American Revolution. The book, unfortunately, further obscures the good reputation of silversmith Philip Syng and his large family. In reality, Philip was a lifelong help to Franklin from the electrical experiments to the founding of every institution that stemmed from the Junto. I would also mention the sobering fact that Philip and his wife Elizabeth, who lived to be 86 and 74 years old respectively, also had eighteen children.
