Excellent web site. Easy to use. It has never crashed whilst I’ve been using it or locked me out. Easy to contact on phone. Off set Mortgage excellent. Interest rate very competitive. “Jar” system of 6 sub accounts very handy for keeping track of various spend and save plans Been with IF since 2001. It’s no Space Oddity that we are still with them. Brilliant bank. Let’s hope they an open up for new customers on 1st January 2021.

We have banked with IF for 11 years and had our mortgage with them; We have found them really easy to deal with, the best bank we have had had. The security is no different to any other bank account and I have never had a problem getting through to customer service. The assistants are always really pleasant, polite and helpful, take ownership of your request and have always do exactly what they say they will do. We have had no difficulty moving money around, paying direct debits or seeing all accounts online. A remortgage was handled so easily and efficiently the money was in the account before we had sent the papers back. It was the least stressful mortgage we have ever arranged. Well done IF, I wish you still did mortgages.

Reliable online site. Jar sweeping system is outstanding. They pay the going interest rates. Phone staff are always helpful. Security is well observed and works excellently. Shame no other bank tried to set up a comparable system for competition, but I suspect they were thought to be unbeatable.

Very pleased with this service from Intelligent Finance, strongly recomended. I have attempted to do most of the functions on the Internet Banking web site with no problems at all and i'm no computer expert. Transfering money, setting up direct debits, paying lump sums of your mortgage, offsetting you name it no problem.

I am afraid most of the people writing these reviews may have had one or two relatively small bad experiences with Intelligent Finance. However, for myself (and everyone else I know who have IF accounts - quite a few now) they are are a quietly efficient banking service with great interest rates. It seems the unhappy ones, even though they're the minority, make the most noise as usual.
We've had IF account for over three years now. This includes our morgage, mine and wife's joint account, savings account and our son's savings account. The internet access is fast and does everything you need. Far better than other internet banking sites I've used. I'm a software developer by profession, and the reviewer who said their internet access is "amateur" must have been judging on the basis of the colours, or some other subjective criteria. In terms of functionality, this is one great banking website. I've never had any problems with the phone service. I've called them up for general enquiries, to wire money abroad, to notify them of stolen cards, etc. I've drawn down equity from my mortgage - it was as easy as making a phone call. The mortgage interest rates are great.

I have been using Intelligent Finance for three years now and never had a problem. Recomended them to friends and family too, even my mum (67 years old) is a great IF fan. Reading reviews here has shocked me. Why is everyone phoning a call centre when its an internet bank!!!! The site is very very easy to use and you can sort everything you need to from there. I set up my current, savings, ISA and loan without making one phone call. Paper work arrives within two days though post and all you do is sign it and send it back, how hard can it be! Top bank, with top intrest rates all available online 24hrs a day, what more do you people want?

Having set-up a mortgage, personal loan, credit crad and current account through Intelligent Finance, I cannot fault them. They had some problems with logging in recently, not that I was aware of this. However they sent me an e-mail to say sorry - now that is customer service. Saying sorry even when I didn't have a problem. Very good rates on loans and credit card.

The Intelligent Finance web site has failed me on several occasions. I am sure some of he time the problem has been mine but every time? I use computers a lot of my time at work and do not experience the logging on difficulties I have had with IF.
I would advise checking carefully that all your direct debit payments have been set up correctly. I recently discovered that a payment I thought was going into an ISA has not been.
I would like to be able to shortcut the voice messaging, you have to wait until the options have ended before choosing. Some better systems i have encountered do speedily move you along if you are confident of your choices.
