Mostly happy with the service provided to transfer money speedily and efficiently to Australia. Also used UKForex a year ago and was impressed, hence the decision to use it again. However, my reservation about the service, on this occasion, relates to the inordinately long time to have my call answered, in excess of 10 minutes. The first time I used UKForex the phone was answered immediately. If you have a query it is much more reassuring to speak to someone in person and this could make me hesitate to use the service again. Having said that, the staff member I spoke with happened to be the same person who helped me the first time. He was very helpful and patient; thank you to him. I get the impression that UKForex may prefer to operate as an online business and not via the phone; I think that could be a mistake. More FAQs might help. E.g. how does the deal work if you have a free transfer on your account; I couldn't find anything about this, hence my call. My ratings for UKForex are purely based on the delay in answering my call. Aside from that, an excellent service.

I am very happy with the rates of exchange but not so happy with the time it took to clear funds to Sweden. There are other companies who will do this quicker i.e. same day.

Thanks for the excellent service to enable me to transfer funds to Mallorca,I am in my 60's so one of the old school, I was really nervous about using internet based companies for fear of loosing all my cash, but now having transfered money with no hassle a couple of times with no problems or worries feel re-assured that doing a little bit of research when I first started that I can now carry on in the future in the knowlwedge that my money is in safe hands and that I get a far better rate than any of the high street banks. I am a first time user of FOREX service. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm still in the middle of a transaction and the funds haven't landed in my account yet (but expect it shortly). However, I felt compelled to share my experience with the UKForex customer service which has been outstanding! The agent was thorough, clear, respectful and friendly. And very prompt in replying to my emails or phone enquiries. Now that I've "discovered" Forex, I shall use it for all my foreign currency conversions!

Transferring money from the U.S. to the UK can prove quite expensive, thanks to the American banks' charges for online/wire services. UKForex's U.S. bank account enables customers to reduce those charges a little, as U.S. bank to U.S. bank wires are cheaper than US bank to UK bank wire fees. UKForex also transfers your money very quickly into a UK bank. The biggest drawback with the service is UKForex's imposition of a customer service charge or fee. This can be waivered if you agree to a monthly transaction. However, that's not always possible.
