The 100 year old Matyas is located in a central area...right by the Elizabeth Bridge. Close to Vaci Utca (restaurants, shops, banks) and just across the bridge to Gellert Hill...and on the banks of the Danube where from our hotel room we had a view of the river. The room was clean and not too small. A breakfast buffet (in the famous Matyas Pince restaurant in the cellar of the building) was included. The food choices were amazing...loved the breads and rolls.

This hotel was just perfect for our needs. The bedrooms had modern facilities and was quiet. The very helpful staff was accomodating. Breakfast was in buffet style and we appreciated it.

Though not a luxury hotel, this hotel was kept very clean and comfortable and was central to the main shopping precinct of Budapest without being in a noisy area, possibly more noise if Danube view rooms are chosen. Excellent continental breakfast with plenty of choice served in the cellar restaurant where evening meals can be also booked. Staff friendly and helpful, spoke excellent english. Air conditioning was provided as standard. Trips can be aranged so that you are picked up from the hotel. We had a private tour to the world heritage village of Holloko one day which was fascinating.
