My daughter received this as a gift for her birthday (bought through treatme.net) - the offer at the time was a two for one so I went along too.
We were booked in at the Manchester location and had received the address details by post - unfortunately the venue had moved but we weren't advised - very bad customer services! I had to ring and ask where they'd moved to.
We didn't get bucks fizz - the choice was coffee, juice or water - but that wasn't a problem. Everyone was very welcoming (at first) we sat around for 15 minutes & then had our hair consultation, my stylist decided to give me a one-sided Mohawk - not a good look for someone over 50 - in the end I gave up trying to explain how I usually liked my hair (spiky on top?)!! He then tried to flog me all the products he'd used - no chance there.
My daughter had a better experience and her hair looked nice. We then sat around for another 15 minutes or so and then went to makeup - the makeup looked okay but wasn't anything special - despite me telling the stylist I don't usually wear a lot of makeup she tried to flog me all the stuff she'd used - very pricey it is too. When I looked closer at my daughter's makeup you could see the tide line of foundation round her face - she can do a better job herself!
We then sat for over three hours waiting for our photo shoot and ignored by the staff for most of this time- it felt like a production line as more people were wheeled in and also sat around waiting.
Eventually we went into the 'studio' by which time my daughter's hair had drooped and our makeup wasn't so pristine - if a small room divided in two can be described as a studio - there wasn't a door - just a curtain across the entrance. We had a few shots taken in the first part of the room & were going to move onto another prop when we were asked to move to the other side as another shoot now needed the first room. We had to move all our stuff through - the changing area is a tiny cubicle with a couple of wall hooks.
we then had a few more shots taken in this other room - it was all very formulised there wasn't any imagination used with the shots - look on the new id website & you see the poses they mostly use. The flash wasn't working properly on the camera so many of the shots probably didn't turn out. We spent about 30 minutes having the photos taken - 5 poses in total.
We then had another 1/2 wait to view our photos - I rejected all of mine straight away as they were dreadful - no effort made to pose me in any flattering way.
Some of the shots of my daughter were also rejected immediately as they were also very badly taken - full length shots had her feet cut off - totally unprofessional.
Out of 70 shots taken we kept 8 - I should've expected the photos to be expensive as I was asked if I wanted to make a deposit towards them when I made the appointment & was advised £100 wasn't much, and also the interest free credit options advertised throughout the studio.
The smallest size photo costs £50 so be aware!!
I can't say I felt like a million dollars at any point throughout the day. There is nothing special or deluxe about this day - were also asked to recommend four friends for a 'free' makeover - but we didn't bother.
This is a total rip off and is just an exercise to try & flog you something at every opportunity.
When my husband saw the photos - his comment was we could've taken better photos ourselves.
