La Perle Clinic, Is a Awesome Clinic based in London, I was in London visiting a friend. Stayed for a week and seen as me being a girl I had to go and get pampered somewhere! my mate took me here fantastic place and really reasonably prices. I Come from a place Called Wolverhampton its around 135 miles away! and I always use a place called Lush Beauty And Laser Clinic! absolutely fantastic. I would 100000% go to either of these places you wont be sorry :)

“La Perle staff were very rude”

★★☆☆☆

written by rag999 on 28/02/2014

Not sure exactly how the business was run when I visited back in 2011. I'd made a booking for 2 massages I bought via Groupon. On getting to the reception and giving our appointment time, the very rude male receptionist said: "didn't you listen to your voicemail that your appointment has been rescheduled/cancelled?" At which point I told him when was that done, to which he replied 10 mins ago. At that point I said to him, I've travelled down all the way from Essex for you to tell us (at the last minute) our appointment has been rescheduled? I just told him straight, we're having our massages done now! They did scramble to get it done but I'll never forget that. Luckily, that was the only voucher I'd bought. I've been having laser hair removal treatments for a few years now and I've found the most effective for me with satisfaction guaranteed is Court House Clinics. There's one off Harley Street and one in Brentwood. Yes, it costs more but I get what I pay for. So, for those looking for laser treatments maybe worth looking on their website. I genuinely sympathise with you all and glad La Perle has gone into administration.

Hi guys,
I bought a voucher for a full body massage through Groupon. When I contacted La Perle Clinic for an appointment, they asked for a voucher code, which I provided. Later they charged Groupon for my service, but disappeared shortly after and I never could get in touch with them to arrange my treatment. It's simply a daylight robbery...

So if you can get hold of them, I might become your client on this case... I can be contacted at [email protected]

Thanks...

“La Pearle Skin Clinic Closed Down! Unfair Trading! ”

written by on 26/07/2012

I bought an unlimited pass for 1000 also and only had 1 treatment! i called up the citizens advice and they gave me the number to contact the insolvency service on 08456029848, i spoke to them explained the situation and they informed me that on the 16th of July the company has a hearing and is going to be wound up to determine what is going to happen next. I have not called them back yet, but i intend to do so and find out what their status is. I was informed by an adviser at citizens advice to contact them back once i know their status and then hopefully do something about getting my money back! This is unfair trading, i knew something was dodgy when they asked for cash only because apparently they machine has been 'broken' for weeks.. ! The number for citizens advise is 08454040506, ask for a man called Jack, he was very helpful. I wish you the best of luck, and do inform if anyone has anymore info!!

I also paid them 200 pounds in cash for six sessions of IPL, of which I've only had 1. (My next appointment was due this week, but of course they are now closed - I only noticed last week when passing the shop and after several unsuccessful attempts to call them started coming across all these horror stories online) They spun me the same story about the card machine too.!!! Fuming. Thanks for the info for CAB and the insolvency contact - I will be on to these first thing tomorrow.
Good luck with getting your money back because I will not stop until i get mine!!

Hi every one I went with my daughter yesterday to have a massage that I had bought from groupon. As we had read so may terrible reviews saying if you turn up late they cancel your appointment we arrived extra early only to find that the shutters of the shop were down and the people in the shop next to the salon said it had closed the day before. I wasn't surprised as I had spent two days trying to contact them. My advise is get onto groupon and get a refund ASAP

“La Perle Clinic / La Beaute Clinique”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 11/04/2012

On November 2011 I purchased a voucher for Six Sessions of (IPL +RF) that cost £129 and since the beginning I have experienced the impossibility to book appointments online and the inability to contact telephonically because the receptionists of La Beaute Clinique do not pick up the phone. It seems that they have oversold their services through Groupon and they cannot cope with the demand. I have also witnessed how other customers had complaint about the same and how the receptionist laughed and said that they didn’t answer the calls because they had already too many customers. Invariably the receptionists have been consistently rude in all the occasions that I have spoken with them but yesterday they went too far subjecting me to an intolerable discriminatory behavior due to the fact that English is not my first language. Yesterday I finally got an appointment after having tried to contact on several times during the previous week and it was going to be my third session. Unfortunately I arrived late 8 minutes to my appointment due to train delays and the receptionist told me to sit down and wait and that one of the beautician would attend me, but after 40 minutes waiting and seeing that none of the beauticians that were passing by my side on several occasions without doing nothing were going to serve me, I asked her if she remembered that I was still there because I could not wait indefinitely due to my work commitments. The receptionist answered to me in a very rude way that she could not tell me how long I would have to wait and not even if I would be seen by a beautician. I answered her that if I could not have my IPL session that she could inform me instead of leaving me waiting indefinitely but she told me that she need not to do so because I had been late. Whilst we were having our discussion and totally out of the blue a beautician got involved and snapped me in a very aggressive way that “I was late and I was only a Groupon customer and that my problem was that I couldn’t speak English”, and she told me to leave the premises. The receptionist in turn seem to enjoy the racist comments of her colleague and did not do anything to calm the situation, on the contrary they were both laughing at me and being abusive because of the fact that, according to them, I cannot speak English. After seeing all this, I asked to the receptionist to see the owner but she told me I could not, and that I would have to write to the owner (but she gave me only her private email address: [email protected]) I also asked her to have a refund of my voucher but she told me she could not give me back my money because I had used two sessions. I asked as well that I wanted to rebook my appointment but she told that she was not going to give me another appointment in that moment and that I would have to call another day. They repeatedly dismissed me and they dared me that if I could speak English I would have to demonstrate it, in writing my letter of complaint. According to this company, the fact of being a Groupon customer together with the fact of not being a native English speaker makes you a less valuable customer. Obviously this company has no interest whatsoever in redeeming the Groupon vouchers sold but it seems to me that their behavior responds to a tactic to make the Groupon customers feel uncomfortable to make them desist from redeeming the full voucher. All in all, a horrible experience of discrimination on the grounds that I am a Groupon customer and racism on the grounds that I am Spanish and my accent is indeed noticeable although the staff girls were of Asian origin and Polish.

wow
That must have been a horrible day for you
I tried to rebook an appointment and could not get through on the phone. I went down there and complained and they said they answer the phone all the time.
I asked to speak to the manager and as I was waiting you know what i did? I phoned them from my mobile 6 times! Right there in front of them and they did not pick up the phone once.
I told the manager that the receptionist was way out of line and that they better sort out my appointment immediately.
He did.
On the plus side I completed my whole treatment with some really lovely women (who often gave me a cheeky area for free!) and my legs are now 80% hair free!

“Burnt at LaPerle/La Beaute - AVOID THIS PLACE!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 02/03/2012

I bought a 6 session IPL deal with Groupon - BIG MISTAKE!!. On my fourth session, i got burnt by one of the therapists (i'd be keen to know what training these people have had). I emailed the clinic and was told that i could not get my money back. I wrote to Groupon who gave me my money back immediately (after seeing photos of my burns). Incidentally, when i told the receptionist that i got burnt, she told me that it had never happened before there. I then told her that i saw another customer come in and complain to HER about being burnt when i was waiting for one of my appointments. Please don't bother asking the clinic for a refund, just go straight to Groupon. They did not hesitate to give me a full refund. I also had numeorus problems with appointments and was told that my appointments weren't booked in when i got there. After 4 sessions, there is no reduction in hair growth so their treatment doesn't even work. I've had laser before and i think it's much better than IPL. I'll never try IPL again. The staff aren't the brightest and they are incredibly rude. Please don't buy Groupon deals for this place as you'll probably regret it. I wish there was a no star rating as this place doesn't even deserve one star.

“La Perle/La Beaute - DON'T DO IT”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Cbos on 08/02/2012

Tonight, I was exactly 12 mins late for my treatment (laser hair removal and yes, it was a Groupon). I was held up on the tube. Despite there being nobody waiting, they refused to fit me in. Ok except last time, they kept me waiting at least 30 mins. The double standard made no impression on the supercilious, unhelpful and frankly over made-up receptionists, one of which turned out to be the assistant Hitler - sorry, manager. Nor could they rebook me for any other time in the next month (after 5pm). I was pretty furious at the lack of customer care and indifference I was shown but I wasn't shouting. Nevertheless, I was told not to raise my voice at the front desk. Why? There was NOBODY there? Red rag to a bull and yes, I took great pleasure in doing some serious yelling after that. I decided to cut my losses. I have had 3 treatments and seen absolutely no difference in hair growth and yes, I told the therapists this at the last treatment and the one before. One of them told me (when I showed them the excellent results I had from a previous treatment at Skin at Moorgate) that Skin probably had better and more up to date equipment. I'd agree. Save your money and go to a proper salon. This lot are a bunch of rude, unprofessional charlatans, offering services they clearly can't deliver in a manner that really shouldn't be tolerated. I object to giving even 1 star but this is the lowest rating I can give.

“La Perle now seems to be La Beaute”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 26/11/2011

Hmm, people on this thread may be interested to see that La Perle no longer seems to exist, however La Beaute Clinic is now operating from exactly the same address with the same photos of the clinic on its website. I did buy a voucher from Groupon for IPL hair removal at La Beaute but having realised in time that its the same place and read all of the reviews, the fact that it seems to have just changed its name & continued to operate seems so suspicious that I've cancelled the voucher. Thanks you all for your reviews, it looks like you've saved me from frustrating, expensive and likely pointless experience!

“very poor customer service”

written by on 17/11/2011

I bought 6 sessions of IPL for £240.00 three months ago, i first walked in to the clinic and it looked very nice and professional. The receptionist was very helpful convinced me to but it the 6 sessions, she booked all my appointments for days that i was able to make it for which i was very happy about. I had a patch test and it was good so i decided to have my first session with the same lady, i had my first treatment withnthe asian lady and she was very very very polite and nice and made me feel very comfortable. The second time i came i had a short eastern european woman by the name of kina and she was HORRIBLE she rushed my treatment, she was very rude when i wanted to ask questions she wasn't botherd to listen to me at all and the to top it off she as using her phone while she was doing my treatment!!!!i had my 3rd treatment a few days ago, there was a new receptionist she wasnt very helpful, because i lost my appointment card and i wanted to check my appointments and was almost lost couldnt help at all then i went in for my treatment and the lady wasnt even able to speak english she was also just rushing me! They dont have proffesional staff, hardly anyone is able to speak english and i dont even think they are qualified!THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE REPORTED ASAP!!!!

“DO NOT BOOK”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 14/11/2011

I purchased a course of 6 treatments of IPL laser hair removal course at La Perle skin clinic through Groupon. I have now nearly completed the course and thought I would provide feedback. Firstly it is practically impossible to get through to anyone on the phone. I say I have nearly finished the course as I got stuck at work on the day of my sixth and final appointment and when I tried on numerous occasions to call to rearrange noone picked up and to be honest as this is the latest in a string of issues I have had I decided not to even try any further. (in the past I have waited for hours on the phone to get an initial appointment for a patch test and the remaining appointments i booked at the clinic afterwards- i purchased this back in march). They have totally oversold the treatments so with limited staff and treatment rooms they have no capacity to fully fulfil these. One appointment I had was scheduled for 6.30pm and at 7pm I was asked if i could come back another day as they wanted to go home. I refused so they did the treatment in less than 2 moinutes and shoved me out the door. I have had a different person treating me each time so they have no idea of my skin type, how intense the light should be for my skin etc. Also the treatment has not worked in some parts and only worked on a patchy basis (despite me being the perfect skin type according to a friend who had this treatment at harrods pale skin, dark hair) - I believe this is because they rush it rather than doing it properly to ram more people through the door and because you have a different consultant each time (probably so you cant compain to anyone in particular). To be honest I am surprised to see groupon are still offering their treatments. Their customer service is also beyond appalling. I have complained to groupon who were very speedy in their reponse and offered me a voucher to use on other offers; they said they were passing on my cvomments to the clinic but I have not had a reply and I am not holding my breath. It may be 'cheap' compared to other clinics but it was a complete waste of money.

we do not expect 5 star treatment- this was not even 1 star treatment. what you expect it is to receive the service you paid for. if it does not work, which this does not at this clinic, then it isn't worth a penny.
yes exactly- sounds suspiciously like one of the workers- that would be about right; bad english and bad manners

“Enter at your own risk”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 17/10/2011

I would highly recommend anyone wishing to use this clinic to read this review first. I booked some ultrasound cavitation treatment through Groupon - 5 sessions including a 10 minute consultation a few months back. Went to this clinic for my first session - all looks very nice and clean and white, first impressions fairly good... Got called for my treatment and went through and the girl asked me where I want it and so on and I asked her if I was not going to get a consultation and she replied that I don't need one... After doing a bit of research online I found a whole long list of around 20 scenarios in which you should not get the treatment, i.e. menstruating, varicose veins, liver problems and so on. Slightly worrying that not only did I not have a consultation - I wasn't given any sort of health questionairre to fill in when I arrived. Anyway I went back for my second treatment, as you do when you have paid for something in advance and this time was given a girl - seemed nice... at first... We went to a room upstairs and she started the treatment. This time I could hear a funny buzzing sound coming from the machine and it was very uncomfortable. After a few minutes I realised that the sound was actually being transmitted through me rather than through the air as I blocked my ears and could still hear it from inside. It was like a crackling, buzzing sound and it was becomming unbearable. I asked if I could use another machine and she replied that the machine was fine. Judging by my experience at this salon so far I had lost faith in the staff actually having a clue about what they were doing so I persisted that I wanted another machine. She again tells me that the machine is fine so I explain to her that if it does happen that this machine should damage my ears I will be sueing your company. Her response was that if there were no machines available I would have to forfeit the rest of my appointment. I was annoyed because she hadn't even checked. I asked for the manager. She tells me to go and wait in reception so I do... for a good 10 minutes...Manager comes down - resembles one of those arrogant boys from school who is clearly a bit blank behind the eyes but thinks a lot of himself. Can I just mention on my way down I spotted at least 4 empty rooms... Anyway he stands over me at reception - aggressive and intimidating behaviour and asks me what the problem is. I explained that I was worried about my ears and not really sure why I was sitting down here - all I needed was reassurance from someone who actually knew what they were talking about but instead I had been carted downstairs... He replies "Well when you start saying things like you're going to sue us what do you expect". Now any intelligent person will know that this is rediculously bad customer service. Firstly he is arguing with me over nothing, in reception around other customers. On top of this is is sticking up for his staff blindly because I told him I found her rude and rolled his eyes like I was lying. I told him I was worried about what was going on in that place - i.e. no consultation and no health questionnaire and he went off in a strop. He then sent me in for the remainder of my treatment in full knowledge of the above. I contacted groupon and they gave me a full refund. What a joke of a clinic - it is clear staff have absolutely no idea not only about the treatments but how to run a business. The look of the clinic doesn't match the quality of the staff emplyed and what can you expect with a manager who is clearly too stupid to understand what customer service is. I would highly recommend using another salon - even if you have to pay a bit more at least you will not be putting yourself at risk using this place.

Will leave one more message before I'm off to Trading Standards!!! Glad Groupon gave you a refund :-) avoid this place like the plague!

“Impossible to book”

★☆☆☆☆

written by arturcarlo on 03/10/2011

Over the last few months I have tried in vain to contact them to book a hair removal session. The phone is either busy or ring with nobody answering it. I finally managed to get hold of someone, I was told to call back later! The little I got to speak to the person who attended my phone call was very disappointing. I did find that particular staff rude and very unhelpful. Lucky you if you manage to get through and book yourself an appointment. I personally have given up.

“Really Good despite the bad reviews”

★★★★★

written by sugarcandy on 02/10/2011

I booked for 6 sessions of laser hair removal with groupon, and after reading the reviews on here I was really worried about my voucher. However I went along for a test patch (which is included in the voucher) yesterday and I just turned up, I filled out a quick form and they did the test patch there and then, which I was surprised at as it was a saturday and thought they would be in-undated with fellow groupon holders. The male member of staff at the desk was really nice and friendly and the lady that did my test patch took me into one of the rooms and asked if I had any questions, told me a bit about it and again was really helpful and friendly. Afterwards (it took around 5 mins) I was told to go to the desk and book up a few of my sessions, after stating that I would like saturday sessions as I work through the week, I was told there is a bit of a wait as saturdays are popular and the next available slot was at the end of the month, 4 weeks time. I was quite happy with this as realistically I normally have to wait a lot longer to just book appointments with my dentist, and with all the groupon customers I didn't see it as a big deal. It was also suggested I book a few appointments so I booked my first 3. The salon was really nice and clean and I can't wait to go back for my first session. I think anyone out there who is concerned about this salon should give it a chance and you may be pleasantly suprised.

“Couples Massage ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by sandiej on 24/08/2011

The whole experience was disappointing and makes me concerned about buying offeres from Groupon again. The couples massage was to include a glass of champagne on arrival. After being kept waiting we were given a warm glass of what tasted like sweet sparkling wine in a wine glass not a flute! the two men conducting the massage did not introduce themselves or ask if we had any medical issues or allergies, they and were not interested. I wonder if they are even qualified as it felt like amatures doing it, a completely dissatisfying and unenjoyable experience. My massuse used so much oil in ran down my sides, he kept lightly tapping me it was bizare. To add insult to injury our 1hr 20min treatment was cut short by 20 mins. The staff were Unproffessioanl from start to finish, a customer treated really badly in front of us in reception, the manager a man was useless and looked uninterested. Everyone inc us went in late, the staff stood and chated behind the counter where people were waiting. This treatment with Groupon cost £59 instead of £220!! It was not worth the £59 and we were given a voucher for the same again LOL for £60 I wonder how bigger bargin the Groupon voucher actually was. I did not complain at the time because I was having a rare day out with my son and did not want to spoil the day with an argument, I realise there will not be a refund, but want others to be careful and not make the same mistake.

I had a very similar, disappointing experience with the couples massage including the cheap sparkling wine in equally cheap wine glasses dumped by the sink, the reduced treatment time and poor quality massage. On top of that the floor where the treatments were carried out smelt of cigarette smoke and I could hear quite clearly someone vomitting in one of the toilets. One of the worst massage experiences ever.

“Not as bad as some reviewers have made out!”

Just a short and snappy review here but after I booked my teeth whitening from Groupon for La Perle I decided to have a quick search for reviews and found some of the most horrible ones! I was soo put off I almost didnt bother going...but I'm so glad I did! The staff were helpful and the guy we performed my whitening was decent (and decent looking! :P)It was extremely clean, my only issue was I had to wait about 10-15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time because they weren't ready but other than that it was pleasant. All is all a good experience and I have recently purchased their Ultrasound Cavitation so will be going back next week.

“The worst beauty treatment I ever had! ”

- First it's very difficult to contact the clinic to make an appointment. - Staff and especially the manager guy at the reception are rude and interested. - Staff has always kept me waiting, while they are having a chat behind the reception desk - where everyone can see them. I once had an appointment at first hour (10:00am). I was kept waiting together with other customers on the street. At 10:10am the manager guy opened the clinic door without even mentioning an apology. - Treatment doesn't seem to be very effective. Staff is very fast - I honestly believe, that in fact they are just working hasty and sloppy. - I really regret having bought 6 sessions, as I don't feel like finishing the treatment at all. I am convinced, that this is exactly the strategy the clinic has. Because they really don't seem to care about their customers at all. They probably are hoping to make short term money and they close the clinic.

I purchased six courses of e light skin photo treatment via Groupon. Admittedly the expiry date has now well gone, February 2012, but I have not been in a position to take it up. However I just wonder by any chance whether I could still redeem the voucher as I did pay £155 for it?
