Don't Be Duped! Don't Waste Money! Don't Get Frustrated!

The first time i purchased a kit from deramores.com, i got what i paid for. The second time i ordered 13 kits (yarn and pattern), i got from a bag full of yarn. With $28 for shipping, I paid $246.95 USD for the kits. I got a box of yarn instead of kits. Just lots of yarn skeins in a black bag inside the shipped box. When I asked for a resolution they said we will send your feedback to the warehouse so next time they would bag each kit separately. What about my order. i asked them to mail the printed patterns and which yarn goes with each so i can sorted out. they refused and sent me a text instead and said you can print them yourself when i said i don't have a printer, they said go to a friend and print them out. DO NOT OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKE. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. They do not correct their own processing mistakes and the customer suffer. I will never order from them or any British company for that matter. God Bless the USA.

Unwilling To Acknowledge Or Correct Their Own Mistakes

I would give this company zero stars if possible! They shipped my order four days after I cancelled it. They refused to apologize or acknowledge my request for a postage-paid return shipping label. I fought for almost two months trying to get them to acknowledge that they made a mistake. No one acknowledged me. They said they were "sorry you couldn't cancel your item in time", even though I cancelled it FOUR DAYS before they started to prepare it for shipping!

If a company can't even make a small mistake right, how can you trust them with anything else??? I shouldn't have to pay return shipping for an item I properly cancelled! I finally had to send this back "return to sender" to avoid that fee, but I wouldn't be surprised if the company deducts shipping costs from any refund I MIGHT get.

At this point I doubt I'm going to see any money back at all, to be honest.

Do Not Buy Anything From Them - Your Payment Will

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM - YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE TAKEN BUT YOU WON'T RECEIVE WHAT YOU ORDER. Google Deramores Reviews and no-one would ever use them again! No customer service except email after a few days. Unsatisfactory response to complaints. Wool scraps delivered instead of complete balls. (Actually those last two words sum them up)

Diabolical, Never Again.

Ordered wool, received automated email stating that order was being packed and would be able to track order.Ha Ha. Payment was shown on my credit card statement almost immediately. Website shows that delivery should be within 1 to 3 days. I will not be using there services again.

Unfortunately wool shops are almost non existent in my area and as I am restricted to wool blends that I can comfortably wear I will just hope that the Loveknitting website has the colour and type of wool that I need.

A genuine delivery length of time also who was delivering the package would have been very helpful. I just wish that I had looked for customer comments before I placed my order.

Not As Advertised

So I bought yarn at 50% off. Hurrah! But when it arrived the hank size was 50% less than advertised so I only have half the yarn for my project. To but the right amount of yarn I'd have to pay full price! Boo...! Beware of those sales ads....

I appreciate mistakes happen, but Deramores have done nothing to put right their mistake. They used to be a great company who cared about their customers. Not any more...

Drop In Service And Website

I have been a customer for over 7 years and used to love shopping with Deramores. The website changed and now is confusing and lacking in information. Before I was able to purchase the pattern and yarn together but am no longer able to view quantities. My orders have been getting posted in two parts with no explanation. They have been taking thee times longer than previously. When I ask a question I get a reply that the answer will be posted online. This is inconvenient as I have to then search for it. Overall, a huge drop in service and ease of use. I would like to know the yarn quantities needed and would like an explanation included if my order is incomplete.

Shocking Delivery

Ordered on monday before 3pm heard nothing until wednesday and was given a tracking no checked and order had not even been dispatched today is thursday it was not even pacaged for delivery until yesterday, ordered from kemps wool shop same day got order on tuesday needless to say will not be using again

I'm in the same boat, they have told me the reason is because of a new computer system. I have logged into my account to have it come up with no orders placed, I have now received a tracking number but there is no record of in on Hermes. I don't hold ourt much hope in receiving my order.

I have used Deramores for years and the last time I used them it was complete rubbish. The order got lost, then found, then not delivered, then delivered. I cancelled it and it arrived! I ended up with two lots of everything because I went to a local store and replaced the stuff I cancelled from Deramores.

However, I ordered three lots of Aran wool and two patterns last Saturday in two separate orders (I had gift vouchers and the website doesn't allow for putting two voucher codes in for one order - it wasn't a problem on this occasion). My orders arrived yesterday, nicely packaged, complete. I was delighted.

Having given them a bad review the last time, I really feel I have to give them a good review this time as they seem to have moved past the hiccoughs they had with deliveries and are back on form.

Efficient, Friendly And Helpful Service

really don't understand the poor reviews here...

I've used Deramores many times with no issues.

Recently, I ordered several different orders so I could compare colours and yarn weights for a big blanket project.

Orders were processed quickly and dispatched promptly.

I called customer services about returning yarns that were not the right colours, they emailed me a free returns label, I returned the unwanted yarns and the refund was dealt with the same day.

I found the people at customer services really helpful and friendly and they know their yarns for sure.

Definitely recommend this company, I've used other companies and still found Deramores the better option.

I would say that the packaging could be improved as the items are onto wrapped once in a polythene sleeve, I guess to keep the costs down.

Ignoring Customer Rights

There being no sign of my order after 9 days (and no response to my chaser email) I joined the telephone queue, spoke to a Customer Service operator and asked for the order to be cancelled. After 'speaking to the warehouse' she agreed and I received a email confirming my refund in 2-3 days. A little while later I had another email from Deramores announcing that my order was on its way! I emailed back. So, a week on and I now have no refund, no reply, but an unwanted parcel of yarn (once I had cancelled the Deramore order, I went to another vendor who supplied within 24 hours). I have emailed them again, pointing out my statutory rights are being ignored here. I suspect it will come to another long wait on the telephone. Quite apart from the personal annoyance, what is the point of having customer protection legislation if firms can simply ignore it?
