Good Laptop, Slightly Shaky Build.

Bought a refurbished 430 Aria through a local IT reseller. Excellent machine, not slowed down on me in 6 months. Charger port is a bit iffy following a trip over the cable.

Plenty of power, and a great machine.

First Of All I Would Like To Say How Pleased I Hav

FIRST of all i would like to say how pleased i have been

with the constant good service i get from aria.

i find there prices are very competative.

and there delivery service has all ways been on time and well packed

and they have a excellent aria forum :)if you have problems or questions

all in all i give this company a 5+ star rating for service and pricing

TO any one thinking of building a system useing the

dell xps 430 barebones go for it i have built 4 useing this

base unit all you need to add is:-

1.sata dvd/cd optical drive.

2.sata II harddrive any size(has caddys and sata cables for 2 sata drives)

3.LGA 775 socket processor (INTEL E5700 or INTEL Q6600 both work well).

4.ddr3 memory 1066/1333mhz both work fine.

5.basic pci-ex graphics nvida/ati (psu has a 6pin graphics power cable)

if like me you get the system when the price is at around £79 (base unit)

then you can build a fully working VERY NIPPY DDR3 INTEL X48 CHIPSET PC

for around £200 and it does not stop there as if you like the xp os

and have a dell xp install disk sp3 then you can install the xp as it is

a dell motherboard the xp operating system will self activate giving you

a fully activated xp operating system ;)

if you do install xp you will need the below 2 drivers

google dell xps 430 xp sound driver to find a download link

and run this to get the sm buss x48 chipset driver

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17949&ProdId=861&lang=eng

hope this helps every one
