Very Bad Service

Probably worst company ever, unfortunately has almost all the market in Grantham.

From the beginning bad experience- we came from London to see a house and they took us to another completely different. In the end we rented something with them but it’s awful - every time you have a problem it takes ages to sort even if it’s a leak. The worst one is the fence part, that it’s really unbelievable - the fence in the garden and outside felt with the wind around 10 months ago and it’s still the same, on the ground, I can’t even go out in the garden. I sent them countless messages, emails and nothing was done. In the last mail I was pretty upset so finally they sent somebody to see it- surprise, they now realised for the outside fence they need to also speak with the council so now we have to wait for them! Really, if you have the option never rent with them, it’s better for your sanity!

Nightmare

All tenants avoid this letting agency. They will find every possibility to withhold your deposit. I moved into a house on Sudbury Road paid 4700 GBP in advance and 1.100 GBP deposit. After 6 month I moved out and checked out they found every scratch on the wall, dust on sockets and deducted 380 pounds of my deposit. Now I have to put a claim in. Make sure you take lots of pictures what I have done. Not enough this property is in debts and your credit rating will drop dramatically. What a nightmare. This agency only works for landlords. Bear in mine I am a landlord myself and my house was rented out for over 2 years. Wear and tear are expected. What a terrible company

Avoid!

We are finally free from this joke of a company. Totally useless staff! We have had many issues over the years. They are slow to respond to emails, don't update you on issues. As a manager myself I would love to get a grip of this office, the current manager clearly has no idea! Don't get me wrong there lack of professionalism has seen us gain money over the years (didn't charge us for work done even though we reminded them = £1500 plus thanks very much!).

I could go into a huge amount of detail but to be honest I get angry just thinking about how poor the customer service is.

The Worst Estate Agents In Grantham

Terrible Estate Agents, they were very dishonest and misleading. Their customer service was extremely poor, as they failed to respond to my emails to deal with urgent matters leaving me to send numerous emails and telephone calls before getting a response. In addition they lied to keep part of my deposit and ripped me off.

They do anything possible to deceive anyone, do not fall into their charming trap as you will live to regret it. STAY CLEAR!

Appalling Customer Service

I enquired about a property via email within an hour of it being advertised on Rightmove on Friday 22nd January, I followed this up with two calls. The first time nobody got back to me and the second time the agent virtually hung up on me making no attempt to register me or confirm my contact details. One hour later I received an email stating the landlord had already accepted an application on the property, this was 10:15 Monday 25th, quick work! They were obviously already aware of this but couldn't be bothered to tell me. Completely wasted my time. Personalised customer service is obviously not their priority.

Avoid If At All Possible!!!!

I don't even know where to begin with the problems I have had with these letting agents. From providing contractors the wrong keys to gain entry to my property, to giving my contact details to contractors wanting to do work in other properties, I cannot express enough to not rent through these letting agents, unless you have no other choice.

One recent example of recent problems have been the attempts at getting a new blind fitted - the blind has been with them since July after being dropped off there by the landlord (so over 3 months now!!), after two months they finally arranged a contractor to fit them (after being requested to do so two months previously by the landlord), only to provide the contractor with the wrong keys, so that he could not get into the property. This is not the first time that the wrong keys have been given out!!

Another time I received a letter to let me know that the landlord wanted to visit the property on a date, and if this was not convenient, to let them know and this could be rearranged. When I called to rearrange the date as it was not convenient (I have a cat, so did not want people entering my home without somebody present), I was told that they would not change it. I pointed out the content of the letter and I was told that they would issue a new letter to say that the appointment could not be rearranged!!!!

One of the worst examples I encountered was when I first moved - at no point was I informed that the water bill was included with my rent (this was not included in my contract) and it took me 6 months to gain confirmation that it was I fact included in the rent, and was not to be paid separately - I cannot believe that no member of the team knew this!!!!

There are many other issues that have come up during my time as a tenant of belvoir lettings, and from speaking to others, I know that I am not the only one - avoid if you can!!

Rude, Insolent And Incompetant Staff, Poor Service

Absolutely Appauling service from this branch. Staff are incredibly rude to say the least. The cellar flooded and it took them 2 days to get someone out, which comprised of 2 blokes with buckets scooping the water out... how proffesional. The hosue was in a state when we moved in and we had to clean it ourselves to get it to a liveable standard. They then had the cheek on final inspection to say the hosue wasn't totheir cleaning standards even after paying for one of their recommended carpet cleaners to do it professionally! Whenever we rang into the office to raise issues, such as leaky shower we were fobbed off with no resolution to the problem. I would categorically NEVER EVER use this company again and i urge you all to do the same. They will do nothing but cause you hassle and disappointment and ignorance. Belvoir lettings i would sack all this branches staff and start over with a new manager as they are not doing your name proud in anyway shape or form. Oh did i mention that when we had moved out the "48hr cooling off period" for the response as to how much of our deposit back was more like 96 hours and 2 weeks later we STILL don't have our deposit back! They are contesting issues with us that were present when we moved in, ie. dirt in the oven. Their surveyors don't seem to look at detail. After 2 weeks of moving out they then decided to say that we owed them a £50 leaving fee.. Seriously... you havn't even given our deposit back yet!!!

Beware - Attempt To Illegally Withold The Deposit

From the outset Belvoir Lettings of Grantham have behaved appallingly towards me.

A 3 month inspection led to an accusation that I had an extra child living in the property, and I had to justify this as it made me in breach of my agreement. In point of fact, my son had a friend visiting for tea!

I was left, without notice, without gas supply to the property, which meant I had no cooking facilities for 1 month. There was no apology, no attempt to provide other forms of cooking facilities, such as an electric hob, and certainly no consideration of a rebate!

Finally, to add insult to injury, a signed the exit check out document, agreeing to various dilapidations. A week after they had written to me to confirm those dilapidations, they wrote saying the landlord had found a large mark on a work top, and it was going to cost me £184 to have it put right! I have fought it through the DPS, I have consulted Citizens Advice and Shelter, notified the head of Belvoir Lettings Group, and eventually Belvoir Lettings Grantham have agreed that it is illegal to withold the money. I paid £50 for the check out, which took well over an hour and listed every speck of dust and cobweb, had to take a half day off work without pay and they thought it could just be waived and extras could be added afterwards. How many other people have been caught like this who didn't know it was illegal? Shame on you Samantha Lees of Belvoir Lettings Grantham!

I Am Suprised Belvoir Grantham Are A Reputable Com

i am suprised belvoir grantham are a reputable company , more like rogue traders . i have just moved out of there property and have been charged for everything from a missing plug to a dusty ceiling !!!. they have taken money as they felt like it from my bank account without me knowing and when i went into the office and complained all the staff laughed at me regarding my disability to walk . the staff are rude and incompetant. stay away from this company they scam you and will enter your property without your consent , they are very vague with any info and then charge you for their mistakes , they have just taken over 500 pounds from my bank account and i have not lived in the property for nearly 2 months , be warned .

Belvoir Grantham were very professional. They came out to do an appraisal on my property and within 48 hours it was marketed on the internet and a Tenant was found the next day. I would definintely recommend them. Thanks
