Do Not Buy From Blinds4uk

Do not order blinds from blinds4uk thinking you'll be saving yourself money and time. Before placing my order, I measured and re-measured my 2 windows countless times, to ensure I provided the correct measurements. I ordered 2 perfect fit black out blinds. They arrived flat packed, so you have to make them up (which is fine). 1 blind fitted perfectly, the other had been manufactured too big in height and the retailer and supplier refused to accept responsibility for their error. After countless phone calls and emails to get the supplier to admit their mistake and send me 2 height panels at the correct height (which wouldn't have cost them much), I was told "sorry, there is nothing we can do." So I had no choice but to bin the blind or take a hack-saw to both side panels (which I did) to make the blind fit. If the supplier had made an error on the width, I wouldn't have been able to cut it down in size. No customer expects to have to do the job of hack-sawing metal (which took ages) for a product they have paid good money for. I would advise you to buy your blinds from a company that values their customers better. Maybe when they have a lack of business, due to bad reviews, they may smarten their act up? You've been warned - buy from them at your own peril.

The Ryanair Of The Blinds World

The Ryanair of the blinds world i.e. if you can get your product ordered and be lucky enough to not require corrective action from their Customer Services you’ll be happy.

I should start by saying that we are very happy with our blinds, which do look great. The score provided however encompasses the fact that we encountered some significant issues with our order, unfortunately none of which Blinds4UK demonstrated any enthusiasm in resolving. My main advice to anyone purchasing is to probably order towards the smaller side of your measurements (even if following their measuring guide, which we did). There is a 5mm+/- tolerance on all blinds, which in our opinion is a fairly significant amount, certainly when you’re ordering for a 5 part bay window. Unfortunately the primary issue we experienced centred around the fact that 4/5 of the blinds we ordered were actually above the 5mm tolerance; one blind was in fact almost 1cm larger than we had ordered. After numerous hours we had managed to fit 4/5 blinds into place and thus suggested that as a prompt solution Blinds4uk simply replaced the final one, which simply wouldn't fit. We did also have an issue with the opening mechanism on the largest blind. All of this was firstly communicated verbally, following which we were asked to follow up with an email, which we did. The following day we received a response asking to send further images so to provide clearer evidence of the discrepancies, which we also did. It was somewhat frustrating to receive a response the following day stating that the blinds had all been correctly manufactured with which they used the one example that effectively measured correctly (based only on the +5mm tolerance). They failed to acknowledge any of the other incorrect measurements (which measured outside of the allowable tolerance), or mechanism issue.

We called Blinds4uk to discuss in further detail to which they gave us the following option:- we would need to take down all of the blinds, re-package them and have them uplifted by the manufacture for inspection. Only then would they agree to corrective action. I should also add that we were told if the blinds were proven to have been made correctly that we would have to absorb the cost of the collection and redelivery. Having already taken the time to clearly demonstrate the discrepancies, and also having a suspicion that the manufacturer would confirm the blinds had been made correctly regardless (based on the responses already received by this stage) we were not particularly confident this would guarantee a solution. Following this discussion we received a voicemail from Blinds4uk stating that they would send the images to their manufacturer for inspection before providing a further update, why this didn’t happen immediately will always confuse me. Unfortunately, however, we had to chase for a response 4 days later, and when we got a response it was simply a reiteration of what we had already been told. As such, we took it upon ourselves to manually adjust the blinds by cutting them down to size. They now fit and look great, it’s just a shame that we ended up having to take this course of action ourselves when the issue was clearly down to a supplier error which they just refused to take responsibility for. I should also mention that we managed to get the opening mechanism working well enough, although not fully.

In summary we would say that the blinds do look good and that if you are looking to cover just one window (and are therefore less likely to run into issues) this service is likely to do the job, and well. Just pray that you don’t have any issues because you’ll need the best of luck, a lot of time and patience to get it resolved.

Appalling company and customer service - all should avoid. Their blinds as delivered didn't look the same as displayed on their website - make sure to scrutinise the small print and dont assume the picture will represent the blind as it will not. There were wholly inadequate fitting instructions (i had to follow an independent youtube video). Customer service has been rude and abysmal - refusing to consider a refund, refusing to even take the blinds back to check how damage originated, accusing me of slander for complaining about the quality of the blinds! They just get their blinds from Hillary's anyway so everyone should just go direct to the company direct who, you would hope, are more reputable.

Appalling 'customer Service', Hostile To Complaints.

Half of a 2 roller delivery paid for at the start of April 2019 arrived without explanation. The customer rang them and was told the balance had been damaged and a replacement was being produced. When it arrived on 8th April, the packing was damaged and the fittings missing. Now, 16 days, multiple calls and emails later, still no fittings, just a threat to 'report me' if I contact them again.

No explanation as to what for and to whom. My writing on Trust Pilot is temperate, direct and available.

A good product but as other reviewers have reported, awful service and customer support; if there's a problem...

There are other suppliers; they CANNOT offer such bad 'support'.

Over The Moon

Can’t name a single person as I measured myself and chose my material and blind online . My blind came today and I cannot tell you how pleased I am with it , when you choose material online it is difficult to judge colour and quality , but because it was so reasonabley priced ( around £70) I took a chance , I have used several online blind companies but this one is exceptional quality and looks beautiful , finishing off my newly decorated room perfectly . I thoroughly recommend and will use again .

Awful Company To Deal With

Awful company to deal with. Not only do they give you an unrealistic delivery date and make you waste your time waiting at home, when they do 'deliver' your blind its apparently left on your door step with a POD... I don't know how they call a note saying "left outside the house" a POD but that shows how unprofessional they are. Oh and they customer service is dreadful.

Brilliant Company.

I have now furnished 3 caravans and 2 houses with Venetian blinds. I would highly recommend the quality and prices. A company to recommend. Quick delivery which is superb. Thank you Blinds4uk for an excellent service.

*** Awful Customer Service ***

Ordered some blackout blinds June 2017 also paying the £9 delivery fee. Received an email a few days later advising that the blinds in question were out of stock with the supplier however they could be dispatched approximately 14 days later. Given that I'd paid £9 delivery I thought it reasonable to request some form of compensation for this. Despite this I received a reply advising that this was Blinds4U's "standard delivery charge" and they couldn't refund me this back. Despite being dissatisfied with this I agreed to continue with the order. The following day I received an email advising me my order had been cancelled as I had expressed being dissatisfied??!! I would not use this company again. Shockingly arrogant level of customer service and a failure to complete my order. Wish I'd taken more notice of the previous negative reviews.

Very Poor Aftersales

They do not make the blinds themselves and therefore when blinds made incorrectly both sides (manufacturer and supplier) will not take responsibility. They make what they think you want (they should have read the order) not what you order and then dispute the invoice they send you. In addition they want you to pay for their error.

Sent The Wrong Material And Incorrect Size Blind

We ordered two roller blinds from the company using Harmony Sandstone. One arrived for recess fitting which was the correct size but a heavy black out material turned up and the other large blind turned up Harmony Sandstone 4cm narrower than ordered for Eaxct size. Having phoned them a couple of times and also many emails they refuse to make another blind with cloth at the size ordered?

Pointed out on their website that Exact means "We Will Make No Deductions" and they still refuse to accept this sending us around in circles having spent over £200 on the order.

The helpline will try to wear you down at all costs and not help the customer in any way but take the money. Now contacting credit company and trading standards over this. Wanted to finish off my kitchen for Christmas, fat chance.
