“poor communications”

order some pump flexible connections, one was faulty. had a load of issues trying to get them to answer my emails and calls. these guys are part of ideal bathrooms who also didnt want to know.

“Good Price Poor Service”

I ordered 4 items of which it turned out only 1 was in stock. Unfortunately I found this out several days after ordering when they were not delivered. The last item arrived 13 days after ordering and even then I had to chose an alternative. Getting through on the telephone is a nightmare dialling an 08 number then keeping you on hold for 10 - 20 minutes - but I found this number which I can call for free. Emailing takes 24 hours to reply. What is interesting is that links from their website to Trust Pilot review only display the good reviews. I wish I had read the reviews on this site first.

“Does not deliver as promised”

We've ordered a radiator from them previously with no hassle but our most recent experience has been undelightful. We ordered a radiator, radiator valves and a thermostat from them. Delivery did not turn up as stated in email. I rung up, they reorganised delivery, valves weren't included in the order. Rung them up again, delivery of valves were promised on the same day. Never arrived. Rung up next day to query, customer service person had no idea what I was talking about and didn't even know I was waiting on delivery of an item. Valves were eventually delivered. I wrote an email to complain. After a week of not hearing from them, I rung up customer service to enquire. Complaint had not been passed on to complains department, I finally got a reply after I said I wanted to hear from them. Their excuse? 'Whilst we do try to adhere to delivery dates we do say on our delivery emails that they are estimated and we can accept no liability for late or delayed deliveries.' I can understand when the delivery didn't arrive initially but after having to ring them up countless times to chase up an item and have the person on the other end have no idea what I was talking about(her excuse was she hadn't been dealing with it), it becomes ridiculous. Surely there should have been notes left on my order about what was happening. So beware. The small amount money you save might not be worth the time you waste on hold and on the phone when your order doesn't turn up as expected. And don't expect them to take responsibility for it.

“Very disappointed”

Ordered what I thought was a complete shower but just the showerhead and hose arrived!! The explanation on the website was very poor if you are a novice which clearly I am. I suppose I should have realised that for under £100 I wouldn't be getting the complete unit, but if it had been clearer when choosing, I wouldn't have made the mistake. Spoke to a chap in customer services who wasn't really helpful, after having to phone three times, he didn't have a clue why I had rung, although I was told a message would be given to him and then half-an-hour later after I had spoken to him he rang back to "return my call". Was able to purchase complete shower for more than £200 less from another provider and their service was A* and also delivery was free. I had to pay postage for PlumbNation and if I hadn't been able to return the product locally, I would have had to pay postage to return it. Wasn't happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Settled out of court”

PlumbNation's supplier PTS picked up returned boiler from my house, damaged it on the way back and tried to blaim it on me. I had to take PlumbNation to on-line small claims court to get my money back. It took me a few months, but they settled out of court. Very friendly people, just make sure you check everything and have witnesses at the time of delivery or return of the goods. Other than that, the service is efficient enough.

“Pretty Poor Service”

Have ordered two lots of radiators now from Plumbnation. Prices are great, website is good. But don't try to phone - you will never get through. On both occasions the radiators arrived damaged/ bent and/or missing parts brackets / blanking plugs. Had to cobble good ones from the bits. On both occasions spoke direct to my local Plumb Center and they tried to sort it out. Couldnt get through to Plumbnation and even if I did they would just phone my local branch of Plumb Center.

“Cheap, if only they could deliver!”

Ordered a toilet seat that was listed as being in stock. So was suprised when given a delivery date some 10 days away. That date then came and went without delivery and no notice. It took several phone calls before someone bothered to call back with any help. No apology just a new deliver date. Which of course came and went without any notice. No card in the door. You try to call but get held in a queue for far too long. Will never buy from Plumb Nation again. I just wished I'd bought from my local dealer, who had the part in stock but were a little more pricey.

“Good prices, but they are effectively just an agent”

My order was fulfilled by Plumb Centre - presumably Plumb Nation have an account with them. I ordered online on May 31. On 3rd June (after asking) I was told that the items would not be delivered until 13th June. In the meantime, the delivery address got garbled along with my name, and some details of the order. I managed to sort out some of the essential aspects with Plumb Centre, but I'm still waiting for some parts. I went with Plumb Nation to save money, but it wasn't worth the extra pain.
