Sometimes A Film Comes Along That Has Very Little
Sometimes a film comes along that has very little advertising. I remember seeing a trailer in the cinema and being intrigued so stuck it on my list on Lovefilm. I also recently watched The A-Team and was worried that this action film filled with A-list actors would fail to hit the mark. I'm pleased to say that I was surprised.
This is a great action film. Bruce Willis shows that he still got what it takes and is perfectly foiled by the supporting cast of Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, Brian Cox and John Malkovich. The "younger" cast members Karl Urban (Star Trek) and Mary-Louise Parker look at ease and everyone seems to be having a blast. There are some great shots (the scene where Bruce "steps" out of the car guns blazing is really cool) and it's a fun film. It has the feel of a heist film with shades of Ocean's Eleven direction. Well worth seeing, perfect for a night in with friends.
