Poor Camping Facilities
I must agree with the other comments, unless you are used to camping then stick to the one day trips even if it means doing the trip in two stages.
The trips are superb and you are well looked after, but Rushbanks Farm is very basic with a Portaloo !
In the height of the summer it can become bedlem during the weekends with campers who can be noisy until 3 or 4 in the early hours.
Geoff and the guides look after you well on the river trips, so I can highly recommend that part of the package.
The web site lists numerous B and B`s if you want a roof over your head on a Saturday night

Excellent One Day Trips, Very Informative And Valu
Excellent one day trips, very informative and value for money
However, I must agree with the others - avoid the overnight camping experience at Wissington. Very basic.

Excellent One Day Trips But I Agree With The Other
Excellent one day trips but I agree with the others, avoid the "camping experience"
Rushbanks is just a field with no facilities whatsoever, no running water or electric at pitches.
The grotty portacabin single toilets have already been mentioned.
Better to stick to the single day trips and enjoy the river.

I Agree With The Previous Comment, Avoid The Campi
I agree with the previous comment, avoid the Camping and go for the one day trips.
Rushbanks is very basic, the only facilities being 1 + 1 Portaloo style toilets and these are located adjacent to the RSB Marquee where you take your meals. This can be a bit off putting when you see campers like ants, heading for the toilets.
You dont have to take the overnight stay if you live within easy reach of Bures or Rushbanks. Make sure you get a reduction in the evening meal and camping charges that are included in the price.
Excellent trips, but sadly let down by the overnight camping experience. In the heat of the summer, the tents can become like a swealtering sauna.

River Stour Boating Offer One Or Two Day Trips Alo
River Stour Boating offer one or two day trips along the River Stour from Sudbury to Cattawade. I would suggest you stick to the one day trips so as to avoid an overnight stay at Wissington.
RSB make use of Rushbanks Farm Caravan site which is extremely basic. It only offers one (portaloo style)toilet per sex for the entire camp with no hot water or decent drying facilities.
It had no hard surface which means its meadow.
River Stour Boating provides a breakfast which consists of a bacon roll and refreshments in a make shift Marquee. This is located adjacent to the jetty and Toilets so dont expect any peace and quiet when staying at the site or having your refreshments.
I would have liked something more substantial considering I was going to undertake a four hour canoe ride until the next pub stop.
The River trips are superb, but consider taking them in two stages or choose one of their recommended B and B sites from their web site, so as to avoid this overnight stop. Last time I looked at their web site they had 12 X B and B`s on offer all within easy reach of this mid-way stop.
Yes, I would agree.
The two day trip is OK if you are into basic Camping, otherwise choose B and B.
