Excellent, A Breath Of Fresh Air
I used Peter David to sell our property through their Brighouse branch. Fay Cowling was fantasitic. Having used another well known agent before my confidence in estate agents was shot. This was transformed entirely when I switched to PD. Fantasic customer service, straight talking advice, qualified viewers and best of all a swift succesful outcome. I would recommend to anyone.
Abysmal Customer Service
My son recently purchased a property through Peter David Properties Ltd, Brighouse. As my son works shifts, it was necessary for me to undertake much of the liaising with Peter David Properties Ltd.
I can only describe the level of customer service received from Peter David Properties Ltd as abysmal from start to finish. Following acceptance of my son's offer, I was requested to forward documentation via email to a member of staff. I immediately scanned a copy of the bank account containing my son’s deposit, together with his 'Decision in Principle' mortgage offer and sent these via email the same afternoon. Whilst it might be considered normal business practice for the recipient to acknowledge such emails and, dare I suggest, thank the sender for their prompt response; such 'business etiquette' appears to have eluded Peter David Properties Ltd staff. Indeed, of all the emails sent during the course of the four months that I had communication with Peter David Properties Ltd, I can state, with absolute certainty, that I never had the courtesy of a response to any email.
Unfortunately, the verbal communication of Peter David Properties Ltd verbal staff leaves much to be desired. As an example, on highlighting various issues picked up during a survey of the property to a particular staff member, via email, and requesting her to seek clarification from the vendor, the member of staff telephoned to say that it was my responsibility to contact the previous owners of the property – a Housing Association – to establish whether or not the boiler had ever been serviced. On reminding this individual that my son was, in fact, the purchaser of the property, she shouted down the phone that the boiler had not and would not be serviced as the vendor couldn't afford!
In addition to the above, Peter David Properties Ltd staff even managed to create a dire customer relationship with my son’s conveyancer and, in so doing, damage the image of their business with a long-established firm of Huddersfield solicitors.
In closing, I can only state that the frosty reception afforded my son on collection of the keys to the property, speaks volumes about the professionalism of Peter David Properties Ltd staff. What should have been a happy day for a 27 year old purchasing his first property, marred by the spitefulness of Peter David Properties Ltd staff.
Rotten Customer Service
I am disgusted with Peter David estate agents their lettings team are a disgrace to the words customer service, to cut a very long story short my mother an 82 year old was guarantor to her grandson for him and his girlfriend so they can rent a house which is fine until the pair decide to part!! My mother is now left as guarantor even though grandson has left the house, a new guarantor has been found and for some strange reason no URGENCY is needed from Peter David's to get my mum (again an 82 year old ) off the guarantor I have tried to put in a complaint about the fact that this has taken far too long after 3 MONTHS and guess what ? Peter David don't care even when I've advised them my 82 year old mother is fretting about it and she has high blood pressure!!! My advise is don't use Peter David lettings they don't care once they have your signature whatever your problems are

Unprofessional. Tin-pot!
I can't even begin to describe quite how bad Peter David Properties are when it comes to customer service. The best way to describe it would be the words "tin pot", they're unprofessional in their dealings.
You'll ring and they'll e-mail you instead of calling you. They don't do proper checks on their tenants and will let anyone move in. If the tenant doesn't pay, they don't seem to be too bothered about making an effort.
Sherrie was very good at fobbing you off and as for Vicky, I don't think she new what day of the week it was, let alone what she was meant to do job wise. I'm absolutely disgusted by the way they have treated me.
I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Efficient agent. Let my house within a week to some good professional tenants. So far things have run really well and would happily recommend their services. A good team.
